The governor cited god in her decision. Many would say believing in an unknown entity is insane. The question is, are you for or against government interfering in our personal lives.
Religion should be kept out of politics. She can believe what she wants but don't impose your belief on others. What if their parents are fine with this. Why are their rights being taken away just because the government doesn't agree with their decisions. Many don't believe in god. But if you do, then you believe he gave us free will to choose our own actions and our destiny. If we all thought the same then we would be robots.
So then you are fine with FGM, because the parent's say it is okay?
Governments like the ones in California impose their belief on others. They tell doctors that if they have a gay male patient who wants reparitive therapy, they cannot offer it, it is a felony to do so.

What you think happens in Gender Reassignment Surgery?
The parents that are fine with altering the gender of children should be imprisoned. It is nothing short of abuse. Children do not possess developed frontal lobes to make life-altering decisions. They rely on their parents for sound judgments. And their parents are failing them miserably, for Christ's sake. It is sickening and those that push or support this agenda should be relegated to the trash heap of civilization.
So Mad_Jasper, do you pretty strongly think kids who think they should have been born the opposite sex might as well kill themselves, because they are so strangely messed up in the head that they are not worthy of living with us here on earth? They may very well be of Satan's doings.
These folks believe it can, which is why in England doctors are now required to seek a court order before administering puberty blockers to children under 16.
The bolded below alone is good reason to give pause to giving drugs that can cause permanent sterility
Quote:
GIDS treated 161 children with puberty blockers in 2019-20, including 26 patients younger than 13. The number of referrals to the Tavistock center jumped from 97 children in 2009 to 2,519 in 2018. In 2011, the numbers of male and female patients were about even, but in 2019, 76 percent of referrals were girls—a fact the center could not explain.
