He's not going to prison -- that's just a leftist dream. Same people who "impeached" him twice for nothing, just out of sheer hate. He wants to avenge his loss, and he believes the election was stolen from him.
As a Type-A personality, he cannot just fade away. He needs to experience the exhilaration of his rallies once more.

Exactly what would he be going to prison for? The DNC has been claiming he was headed for prison for 7 years, yet they still haven’t managed to actually charge him with anything criminal. Two sham impeachments and a lot of hot air have been the only result - along with the DNC making themselves look like morons.
I get people disliking Trump, but you and some other posters here have turned hating the bad orange man into a religion. People hate him so much that they voted for quite possibly the most inept candidate in my lifetime - and I was around for Mondale’s travesty of a campaign. Perhaps rather than worrying about mean tweets and listening to made up stories you should have actually paid attention to policy.
The whole reason for the rabid desire to see Trump charged with something is because Democrats know they screwed up with Biden, they know that most Americans know Biden isn’t actually running anything, and that if Trump runs against either Biden or Harris he’s going to mop the floor with them.
I doubt that anybody political in government actually wants to arrest Trump; it would set too big a precedent to have a President arrested after they leave office. It's all sound and fury, signifying nothing.
