The goofy Superintendent says the word "peace" is objectionable.
It's a Power Play against the new Governor of Virginia.

ENOUGH of this BULLCRAP!

Come on parents, support your kids. Remove these so called woke Board members

Enough is enough!
"Montgomery County", just outside D.C. in Md., NO surprise!

They probable don't say the Pledge of Allegiance any more either, "One nation under GOD".

"The Maryland General Assembly mandates that each county Board of Education and Baltimore City Public Schools requires all students and teachers to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Specifically, they must "stand and face the flag and while standing give an approved salute and recite in unison the pledge of allegiance," according to the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland."

Just sounds like MORE dem hypocrisy, to me.

That was not the reason given. They were told they can not wear them because the words "pray" was apparently too religious and "peace" was too political.

They also were not wearing them during the games, they only wore them during their warm-ups.

Of course "peace" is too political — the #1 goal of these leftists institutional rejiggering is to claim ownership of your children and turn them into activists for an intellectually moribund worldview that's divorced from reason. A secular Taliban.

This is the sort of situation where a little solidarity would go a long way. If an individual player defied the ruling and wore the shirt anyway she would probably be disciplined and maybe kicked off the team or suspended but if the whole team did it there'd be little the school board could do about it without making themselves look extremely bad.

Well, peace is political. Dems love violence, as evidenced by "peaceful" protests, neutering the police, and generally coddling criminals. The rest of us, not so much.

The board rejected "peace" because it was too political. That is all you need to know. They don't care about the kids or how they look, they just care about their agenda. You can be sure that if the team wore a BLM or LBGQT alphabet shirt, there would have been no such warning.

I would venture a guess that if the entire team defined the letter the school board would have no problem barring the entire team from competing.

I'm still trying to figure out how the word "peace" is political.

P.S. If the word "peace" is political, then it has lost all meaning. They place it in the class of a weapon. And they even use the word "peace" against them. Is the school board anti-peace.

Since they crossed out the words pray, play and peace, maybe they should wear shirts with the only word left "For" on them and see if they have a problem with that.
