The board rejected "peace" because it was too political. That is all you need to know. They don't care about the kids or how they look, they just care about their agenda. You can be sure that if the team wore a BLM or LBGQT alphabet shirt, there would have been no such warning.
I would venture a guess that if the entire team defined the letter the school board would have no problem barring the entire team from competing.
I'm sure the parents are looking into this.
As well as any teachers that have flags in their classrooms.
Only in a leftist Twilight Zone are the words "pray" and "peace" disallowed, yet it's considered perfectly normal for a teacher to cast seeds of doubt into the minds of your young ones that they are actually the sex that is defined by what is between their legs.
"Montgomery County", just outside D.C. in Md., NO surprise!
They probable don't say the Pledge of Allegiance any more either, "One nation under GOD".
"The Maryland General Assembly mandates that each county Board of Education and Baltimore City Public Schools requires all students and teachers to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Specifically, they must "stand and face the flag and while standing give an approved salute and recite in unison the pledge of allegiance," according to the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland."
Just sounds like MORE dem hypocrisy, to me.
Wrong county, this is in Southern Appalachian Virginia, near Roanoke.
Since they crossed out the words pray, play and peace, maybe they should wear shirts with the only word left "For" on them and see if they have a problem with that.
