True, they aren't the biggest roadblock though, the SEC is.
The offer is nothing more than an easy way out for Musk with a golden parachute. The people that are so excited because he will buy it and reinstate Trump and stuff have clouded vision. I don't think Trump is even on his mind at all.
There are people here hoping that Musk will delete Twitter or try something else against it. Elon Musk is more likely to us it for his own purposes. He uses Twitter. He might use it for his own personal megaphone.
G_M,
what happens if Elon gets pissed and dumps his shares?
That is still sticking it to them so there might be some satisfaction in that for him.
He is not doing this for money.
I plan on investing in him.
I think he is a good investment.
Not so sure about twitter though.
That wouldn't change anything about what I said. If they try to bargain it won't go to Musk. That is the context of which I was using. Twitter is a dumpster fire of a company you really think anybody is going to pay this price with Elon poised to sell off bigly?
Oh, it would be foolish for anyone to think Musk is open to negotiation. I suppose the value in looking at the Board is that they are fairly independent from other companies. Of 11 seats, 3 are Twitter peeps.
Some of the comments today on stock investment sites (or others) have been entertaining to read.

You're going to see those on the left running around with their hair on fire. They'll care more about this than the war. Losing a safe space where they can marginalize anyone who has a more diverse opinion of the world than they do is SO much worse. I mean they just can't even.... You'll get to watch this happen in real time on MSNBC. It's going to be glorious.
