Clear indication that Russia admits that Ukraine did sink the Moskva. Is this what starts WW3?

Russian state TV declares World War Three has started after sinking of Moskva

Russia 1, a Kremlin mouthpiece which has championed the war, came close to acknowledging Ukraine sunk the Moskva by demanding a crushing response.

Olga Skabeyeva, one of Vladimir Putin’s leading propagandists, told viewers Western support for Ukraine amounted to direct conflict with Russia, saying: ‘What it’s escalated into can safely be called World War Three. That’s entirely for sure.

‘Now we’re definitely fighting against Nato infrastructure, if not Nato itself. We need to recognise that.’

I thought NATO/US involvement was a given. Unless their saying it was Western military personnel that literally pulled the trigger.

True he would have gotten Putin back in the G8 like Trump begged for. Putin would not have gone to war, he had Trump on a short leash.

WW3 started when Russia invaded.
The two sides are Russia vs The World. The World has taken draconian sanction measures against Russia which will never be lifted. Just like in Cuba.
Russia will decay in place and slowly begin to look more and more like Cuba. Their navy will decay in port and their air force will slowly stop flying, unable to make even the most basic of repairs.

The world will learn to do without Russian Gas/oil and agricultural products, which, over time, will become less and less necessary because of global population decrease.

Some facets of a world war are certainly in place. A humanitarian crisis in southern Ukraine may draw the need for food/supplies that may require bringing in UN special forces as escorts. WMD used by Russia could also be a trigger for air strikes on Russian positions inside Ukraine by NATO.

None of this will matter.
Russia's GDP per capita peaked in 2013; dove when they invaded Crimea; recovered a bit; and now will dive again until Russia becomes one of the poorest nations in the world.
Russia will never recover.

If he had Trump on a short leash, he has Biden on a choke chain.
