Seattle, which had dictionary definition insurrection in 2020 has led to economic decline for the city including stores still closed up and Amazon removing jobs.
This is an interesting read from a police perspective of working 7PM to 7AM - 12 hour days and only 1 day off every 2 weeks under violent conditions. Cops too tired to drive home so they sleep in cars while politicians demonize them based on the actions of a few.
People working desks at the police station wearing helmets and other protective gear as insurrectionists continued assaults on police buildings.
Combat war veterans saying it was the same and the same looks on cops faces as worn out combat soldiers.
People like Kamala Harris who supported these violent insurrectionists and encouraged bail funds have never really been taken to task by the mainstream propaganda media.
With about 1,400 police officers in 2019, or 18.5 officers for every 10,000 residents, policing in Seattle could never be as comprehensive as in New York City, where the ratio is 43.6 officers for every 10,000 residents, or Washington, D.C. where it is 54 per 10,000. But with 186 departures in 2020, nearly three times the annual average, and another 150 or so in 2021, Seattle started 2022 with well under 1,000 deployable officers department-wide.
This really just proves you don't need to "defund" the police, you just need to demoralize the police.
I doubt that they will ever take anyone to task, because they still think they are right.
Seattle, what a mess and it is all due to the failed policies of the Democrats. If any city needs a night to "Purge" like in the movie it is that one. Lawlessness is taking over and running the decent people out. Maybe one 12 hour night where all crime is allowed will clear out the rabble. The good folk can shelter, the Police would go home for the night or barricade their precinct and the rabble on the street could fight it out to the death. The next day the dead would be buried, the streets cleaned up and the rule of law would be enforced.
In the article the Police said everything changed when George Floyd was killed. We all know it was sadistic what that cop did to him but there is also a divide that should be addressed. Where some people see a man that should have complied and just got into the cruiser as the others cops kindly requested he would still be alive. If he wasn't hopped up on drugs he would still be alive. If he hadn't tried to pass the counterfeit money the cops would have never been called. The flip side are the people that see themselves as FLoyd. They are the perpetual victims of racist cops that are just looking for a reason, a chance to murder a suspect and bonus points if the thug is Black. This couldn't be further from the truth but that is what a segment of our society thinks. They believe that cops are the enemy.

It was a good read. Thank you for sharing. Bottom line is these officers in Seattle had nothing to do with what happened in Minnesota. It was an excuse for those to riot and loot. These cops were also abandoned by the politicians. To be honest though at this point who really cares? The people in the city wanted this. They voted for leftist. They got leftist policy. They get leftist results. I hope they enjoy it. I feel badly for the cops. It is what it is. There is no talking to leftists.
