Maybe they will think twice before making a political statement. Personally, I'm fine having Disney close up shop and go to some other state. I'm not sure the people who work there are making much more than minimum wage anyways.

Welp … Disney overplayed their hand on this one. They are free to pack up their Magic Kingdom and go elsewhere. That would be fun to watch.

Entertain us or be gone, Disney. Stay in yer lane!

It's an interesting "threat".

I support our Governor, and I am a Disney fan. Walt and Roy did the right thing with the way they handled the development of the entire resort in Orlando, IMO.

Disney let their "wokeness" (to use the pejorative) get a little too political. In the end, though, they had no impact on the Parental Rights in Education bill.

I don't think dismantling Reedy Creek is a good plan. It would have economic impacts on Orange County and on the state. Meanwhile, Universal thinks it's a great plan! LOL

I think it's just a bit of grandstanding and I don't think it will actually happen.

The redistricting will remove the federal influence Disney has as they have their own congressional district! This should have never been allowed from the start.

You have a copy of the 'plan'?

Curious as to how many other private entities have "self regulation" status?

The alternative is a megabillion private corporation effecting political change within the state. Can’t have that, either. Adaptation will be necessary by everyone.

Or, Disney can shut up and get back into the entertainment business.

We’ll see how this plays out but either way, Disney won’t win this one.

Disney is not leaving Florida. Ending Disney's corporate welfare will have no effect on Florida's economy. Disney will find another way to ensure that Bob Chapek makes 30m a year in total compensation.
