I’m not exactly sure what you mean, but I’m assuming you are referring to Obama turning the IRS on someone or some organization that took issue with him. Assuming this is true (and I am not suggesting it isn’t…I just don’t know the facts), so what? I’d agree it is just as inappropriate as the situation with DeSantis.
No doubt Disney will be subjected to much higher costs, as many of the services they provide themselves to their properties will now be obtained through the county, at the prices determined by the county.
Disney has been supporting itself...and paying taxes all along
One Disney entity pays taxes to another Disney entity...the money stays in Disney...but the taxes are still paid
...that tax money is how Disney does roads, water, sewer, etc etc
now that tax money will be paid to Florida
Disney supported itself just fine on those taxes.....Florida will too
If this was such a financial burden to Disney, there is no way in hell they would have wanted it.

What is far, far more likely is that Disney will be paying FAR MORE for services they either obtained free (gee................... that is why corporations are given these sweetheart deals) or at a discounted price.
Do you really think the benefits for police, fire, and other services used by Disney are given HIGHER pay and benefits than state and county employees? No way- in general Disney employees are very poorly paid.
For any of you who remember this part of Florida prior to Disney, it was actually nice, rural cattle country. To a lesser extent, orange groves, but mostly cattle. That part of the state was somewhat charming. Now the Orlando area is a crap hole- a TON more low income people, crowds, and crime.
Disney certainly brought a lot of revenue to Florida. However, it also brought a lot of other societal problems which have made that area a far less desirable place to live.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the Special District designation, saved Disney tens of million of dollars every year.
Disney paid for all of those services themselves. Somebody is gonna have to pay the 1 billion dollar bill. Special districts are created so the burden isn’t on the taxpayers.
DeSantis actually gave Disney a huge tax break by doing this. Now residents of Orange and the neighboring county are going to foot the bill. Looks like he doesn’t care about winning re-election. Property tax bills gonna skyrocket in major Florida swing counties. LOL a comedy of errors and political suicide.
DeSantis is the tax man. He’s coming to drain the taxpayers wallets
No they aren't, Disney is going to repay the debt. All of it. Watch.
Why would it have to be a southern state for year round operations?
Something called climate. There's a reason the amusement parks in more northern states are seasonal.
