Abandon all hope of returning to the bad ole' days. Those days are finito.
The Republican Party now stands for Freedom, individuality, secure borders, prosperity, and a foreign policy that always puts America First.
The transformation has only just begun, and it is about to accelerate as this crazy little rock called Earth hurdles toward November.
And even the Lefties are finally beginning to get it.
Bring us back to a respected by all country. Things are starting to look up!!! We just have to ride the crazy train for just a tad bit longer. We got this!

You should read the actual article. I'm not sure the MAGA R's really stand for freedom, individuality, or prosperity. Definitely secure borders and an isolationist 'America First' stand. The shift to more rightwing extremism with the working class whites in America is due to too much freedom and individuality. They don't want to share and there is a fear. A fear, especially with the White Supremacist wing of the Republican party that believes they are being replaced and maybe a fear they will be treated as badly as they treated those of different races, sexualities, etc... Tucker Carlson spews this toxicity nightly on Fox news. Well, I assume he does as I can only occasionally watch clips of his nonsense. Why does he always look so confused?
I feel like there has been a massive vetting going on. MAGA voters will no longer tolerate RINOS. Now, it will take some time to get rid of them, but this election they will take a massive hit. Once they are gone.. MAGA movement will really be rolling.
The news has been obscuring this suggesting MAGA is failing. It is just a matter of getting rid of the enemies of the American people and replacing them with Patriots. It will take time... but the wave is coming.
Or unless you think America is already great. And that what "MAGA" people want to do would make us less great.
But not to worry. So far the MAGA record is not great. Two impeachments. One election won with less than a plurality of the popular vote, and one election lost rather handily.
America today is not Great. Today it is a mediocre, dying country. Maybe it was great a few decades ago.

STOP.....right there.
Clearly you're in fantasy land. Hispanics now support Republicans as much as Dems, in many polls more than.
Support for Republicans among blacks is up to one in four in some polls such as the Wall Street Journal.
And as another thread on this forum recently pointed out, "racism" is dead last according to Pew Research (Democrat approved!) in terms of the concerns of the black community. (Only 3%. Their top concern? Crime. OMG! They sound like MAGA Republicans!)
No one is buying the "White Supremacy" nonsense anymore. So, by all means, keep on peddling it.
As for the rest of what you said, it seems you think I misinterpreted the Times to be saying it was a good thing that MAGA is taking over the Party.
Believe me, I know that is not the case. I didn't need your presumptuous pseudo-sophistry to condescend to me otherwise.

Ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away. There is a white supremacy problem in America. Period. It matters not how many Black or Hispanic Republicans there are in that party. Look at the Americans who attacked the US Capital on 1/6/2021. People there were wearing Nazi or pro-Nazi props. I'm sure the 23 people killed in El Paso by a far rightwing gunman wouldn't think that white supremacy doesn't exist--if they weren't murdered in an act of domestic hate terrorism. I read someone on this site say that anyone crossing the border at non-designated areas should be shot. Hey, maybe that poster will take it up and go do it himself. Heck, I think people already do. Is this what 'America First" looks like? If so, I want nothing to do with it. Peace.
