Sorry but the russians cant even handle cheapo Turkish made drones. How are they going to defend against USA nukes fired in response? NYC glows in dark, so will all Russian cities. Same thing that stopped the Soviets will stop Putin from using nukes. Well unless his little red choo-choo has chugged around the bend.... so he wants to go out riding to earth on a nuke aimed at NYC. Like in that old Peter Sellers movie. Yee-haw, ride em cowboy....

I hope you're wrong about the country's attitude but fear otherwise. Remember during the oil shortage bumper stickers that said "let Yanks freeze in the dark"?

Quite true. We're the only ones that fight with both hands tied behind our back; and insist that Israel do so as well.

Hydrogen bombs are very clean - they take out an entire area with very little radiation and all radioactive waste is gone within three weeks.
Not so, Stormgal. A hydrogen bomb's fusion reaction needs to be triggered by temperatures over 100 million degrees Kelvin. That kind of temperature can only be generated by a fusion device, so in the core of every hydrogen bomb is a dirty ATOMIC bomb, either uranium or plutonium

Let the European nations ( who live much closer ) take care of the neighborly crisis going on next door.
AMEN to that!

Get the U.S. out of NATO,. aka European entanglements. That's a looose take from George Washington's farewell address.

Quote:
United States non-interventionism primarily refers to the foreign policy eventually applied by the United States between the late 18th and the first half of the 20th centuries whereby it sought to avoid alliances with other nations to prevent being drawn into wars not related to direct territorial self-defense.
