Neither party has had the balls to do what is needed to address substandard performance - shut down poorly performing schools.
Or get the government out of our schools. Make them all private and competitive. Quality would improve rapidly.

Absolutely. 100% agreed. As for the underperforming schools the market would take care of that naturally.

Now cue the Government school shills screeching about racism or something.

I sense a day of reckoning is on the horizon.
The Marxist changed the “ways of knowing” in the school system since at least the 80’s. Maybe I have not been clear enough.

It can be traced back to several linages of Marxists thinkers. The closest to what we have now though is Henry Giroux who basically used Freireian (Marxist) ideology on pedagogy and pledged to place 100 “thinkers” into positions of pedagogical power.

So now we have this whole social emotional learning (fomenting revolution in young people) thing which is pumping out revolutionary Blue Guards.

But don’t take my word for it. Here is Noam Chompsapenis being truthful about his Marxist leanings before he changed his tune and called the “woke” loaded language incoherent.

https://youtu.be/2Ll6M0cXV54

Here James Lindsay “unpacks” Freireian pedagogy (and its Marxist religious undertones):

Anyways the point is that the Marxist “go out in front” and are leading the way with a bunch of “reactionaries” behind them. That is after all why they think they are the arbiters of history and that we can not come to the end of history without them carrying out Maxian praxis.

Think of the Taliban but instead of Allah it’s material.

That with an overdose of hyperbole.

Yes it must be the teachers or the schools, it's not the parents. Shut down all those poor performing schools and then what??

And your alternative is? Throw an ever-increasing amount of money at a bloated, ineffectual, corrupt government school system that has not been fit for purpose for 40+ years and demands to waste more and more of taxpayers' money?

Of course. She's a union employee isn't she? Wouldn't you want to keep the money flowing if you were benefiting from it? It's not like these liberals care about education. They care about lining their own pockets.

They also care very much about retaining their power.
