Just to give an example of how awful reddit is I was kicked off the Christian Sub as I made a comment on a covid thread that cloth masks dont stop covid like n95 masks.
I was kicked off the New Jersey Reddit forum as I raised election integrity concerns (this was a month before the 2020 election) after receiving mail in ballots for the previous owners of the house I live in.
Its a cesspool of leftists, who have literally kicked everyone off their platforms.
r/conservative is dead compared to r/politics or r/news. I think they throttle the views to make sure it stays that way. I posted there and didn’t see any up or downvotes for 8 hours and then all of a sudden I had 10.

I choose my subs. I will agree r/politics has more liberals than conservatives on it. I identify some of the sources as used as significantly left of me and a little woowoo. I still disagree with people but reddit is usually about the exchange of information and a little fun. Breitbart is immediately tagged as rightporn, as it should be.

There are some really good, helpful people on Reddit no doubt. Their tech support sub is great.
