Correct, the government using and promoting things through a private organization, now the private organization isn't really private. Complete conflict of interest that people are saying, well its a public organization, but yet the government is using for their use. The government was doing the same trying to force private companies to enforce so called vaccines.

Twitter censors anything that isn't a hard left view. Elon understands perfectly what free speech is. He intends to provide a forum for it. Not a forum, which Twitter now is, where you'll get banned if you dare step over a line.

That means free speech for all, not just for the hard left.

But the government is doing exactly that, using private companies to do what it can't.

To paraphrase 50 Cent, ‘Elon Musk is not a businessman, he’s a Business, Man.’ He understands perfectly what a Business is.

Having said that, I hope he is successful in providing a better forum. Personally, I don’t use the Facebook, or the Twitter but will see be interested to see how it goes.

Actually yes it is free speech protected by the Constitution. However a corporation can limit any speech they want. Musk can decide to ban far right and far left speech on twitter if he so chooses since it's now his company. Or he can basically let anything go.

Free speech is the government not fining/imprisoning/otherwise punishing you for something you've said.

It is not freedom from any/all consequences.

You seem to have missed the part where the Biden administration is partnering with social media companies like FaceBook, Twitter and Google to censor speech that the Biden admin doesn't agree with.

Psaki says administration is working with Facebook to limit misinformation

"So we're regularly making sure social media platforms are aware of the latest narratives, dangerous to public health that we and many other Americans are seeing across all of social and traditional media. And we work to engage with them to better understand the enforcement of social media platform policies," Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Friday during a press conference.

"As you all know information travels quite quickly. If it's up there for days and days and days, when people see it, you know, there's, it's hard to put that back in a box, and of course promoting quality information algorithms, I don't know how they work, but they all do know how they work," Psaki continued.
