Normalcy? Look at his approval ratings and maybe you’ll realize how ridiculous your post sounds. Or maybe you don’t want to believe the issues I stated above don’t exist.

It's really interesting isn't it? Sort of validates the "everyone gets a trophy" trope

This is so clueless. This has NOTHING to do with the first amendment. Trump didn't go because most of these corrupt people were lying everyday about the Russian hoax and other things . Why pretend they all like each other and crack jokes? The press is too cozy with power and that's a huge problem. We already have Hollywood for this, We don't need the press who has to be serious and independent trying to be clowns and likeable.

The job of the press is to investigate the power and keep a distance and professional not to get cozy and in bed with power with these dinners and gatherings. It shows how low our media has gone and why the majority of Americans doesn't trust them.

Is this one tradition Progressives support? Usually they are trying to tear down all other traditions, in the name of racism, sexism, bigotry, etc....

Why would Trump want to go hang out and party with the people that are constantly trying to destroy him with their lies?

The media was hostile towards him so why give them more ammunition to wage their war?

Why would Trump throw a party where the attendees would no doubt make a political stance by NOT going and the ones that did would have been attacked by their fans.

Of course we had a couple of years during the Pandemic where such meetings were banned.

If Trump did have the Dinner and the Media could have dropped its hatred for the night I think it would have been a terrific evening because Trump is a really funny guy and he doesn't even need a teleprompter like Old Joe does.

So you have a bunch of elitist liberals in tuxedos fawning over a demented old fart reading off of a teleprompter.

No thanks.
