Well, it's a good thing I'm not on "the left."

There are millions of people in this country who identify as Independent or Moderate or Centrist or Libertarian, or even slightly right leaning, and they aren't "leftists," "progressives" or any other label slapped on them by the conservative right. Opinions vary and are not in lockstep with the right wingers and their agenda.

If the number and % of abortions due to rape or incest are such a small number, then why the move by some states to abolish abortions for those that resulted from rape or incest?

Simple solution, especially since there is so much claimed support for abortion rights: Get a Constitutional Amendment ratified that guarantees the right to abortion. There are 27 Constitutional Amendments. This could be the 28th. So where's the problem?

So what's the standard to verify rape? Just show up and say so and no questions ask? Just put a check mark on the questionnaire and that's it, add it to the yearly report.

Due to reported rape. In other words, as far as you think you know.

There are many women in controlling and abusive relationships, marriage, or in other situations where they’ve been coerced, threatened or otherwise strong armed into having sex by men who give less than two crabs about the aftermath. A lot of those situations will go unreported as rape.

In a perfect world, all women will be in living committed relationships where they have unfettered access to birth control and where their partner is kind and loving and proactive in her reproductive health and choices.

But this is the real world, where your black and white pedantic “convenience” nonsense doesn’t apply.

Parenting a living breathing child is not an inconvenience. It’s the greatest responsibility one can undertake in their lifetime. I want all children to be wanted and brought into the world in a stable environment, not into a household of pain and poverty, substance abuse and violence.

Let women make their own decisions about this. Too much domestic violence and child abuse out there for anyone to prejudge anyone else’s situation.

and many women that lie to get quickie abortions since there is no questions ask or no need to verify. Many women are also coerced or forced to get an abortion for many reasons by parents or partners or fear put into them.
What's wrong in letting the people including all women who millions are PRO LIFE have a say on this under a democratic process to regulate? There are many bad things that happen to men in the world everyday but We don't give them the green light to kill at will or say they can make their own decisions when there is another life involved or tell women to shut up and get back in the kitchen that their say is worthless.

This is on all of us the society.

If it's not tracked, it's conjecture. You're posting nothing but guesses at what might have happened, not what actually did.

Furthermore, as stated, there's a simple solution, especially since there is so much claimed support for abortion rights: Get a Constitutional Amendment ratified that guarantees the right to abortion. There are 27 Constitutional Amendments. This could be the 28th. So where's the problem?

If you are pro life then don’t have an abortion.

It’s that simple.

I agree that many women are forced into abortion by others. The fact that that even happens should tell you that all women are not acting autonomously when it comes to consensual sex and relationships.

Domestic violence and child abuse is a serious issue. I would rather babies are killed as a non sentient embryo than as a two year old who has suffered untold agony in their short lives at the hand of their parent or parent’s partner.

Children that survive abusive households often repeat the same behaviour as adults, perpetuating the awful cycle. (Often, not always).

I want every child to be wanted. That’s it.

Here is something else to think about. In states that ban abortions except for rape or incest, there will be more woman claiming rape or incest. They may or may not name the rapist. Some women will do this in order to get a local abortion. Human nature to seek the path of least resistance out of a dilemma. It's sure easier than traveling 1000 miles to another state and trying to arrange an abortion there.

Men should think about this before they decide to support all out bans on abortion. The woman you thought you seduced may call it rape in order to "qualify" for an abortion.

At conception, a new life is created. Abortion murders that life.

Abortion is not murder.
