It is fascintating that a Japanese company is defending the use of an American icon against Chinese censorship. It is a bit disappointing that an American company was not the first to defend American icons against Chinese censorship. Disney probably would have complied and removed the Statue of Liberty.

No, think in broader terms...it's a company not caving into censorship demands by a government.

We need more of that...lots more of that.

I'll take it one step further. Companies should not cave into government demands AND governments should not cave into corporate demands.

Yep. Sony is Japanese. The Japanese seem to respect American culture more than American corporations.
