Actually, it's a lot closer than you think. The ABC/WaPo Poll found that Americans' support for keeping abortion legal varied significantly based on the reason for the abortion. As for the 98.3% of abortions that are performed solely for the sake of the woman's convenience:
48% keep it legal
45% make it illegal
It's why the Congressional Democrats don't have enough votes to pass their abortion bill.
That is not why the Senate cannot pass the bill. They cannot pass because the Senate (not the population who took that poll) doesn't have 60 votes. The Senate does not mirror polls of the general population because there are 2 senators per state, election of senators reflects only the opinions of each respective state not of the whole country.
1. Pregnancy is not an illness or disease. It does not matter what you THINK about this. It is a fact.
2. Name another treatment where it's only successful if the human being ends up dead.
Pregnancy is a CONDITION that can in some cases cause illness. Just like obesity is a CONDITION that can in some cases cause illness. Doesn’t matter what you THINK. It is a fact. In both cases people should be free to seek treatment.
Im really surprised that all those who are championing for a fertilizing person's right to determine the outcome of the pregnancy arent speaking out against the anti choice crowd and trying to stop the chipping away of rights to easily assessable abortion or total bans in some states.

Abortion is not a treatment.
No matter how much mental gymnastics you do, killing someone is not "treatment" for pregnancy.

No, I said her condition of having low platelets was caused by a childhood illness. She no longer has the illness (a virus), but was left with a chronic condition that needs no treatment when she’s not pregnant. Pregnancy changes that and her condition has to be carefully monitored in case treatment is needed. She chooses to accept the risks. Her choice. Other women faced with the same risks should have the freedom to choose differently. Their choice.

It’s a treatment against the medical risks of pregnancy just like diet and exercise are treatments against the medical risks of obesity. FACT.
