I'd say I agree a lot of these are overused. What is NOT overused is misinformation.
Your "alt" news sites? Made up. Lies. MIS information. Mainstream media is mainstream for a reason, and people who believe infowars and epoch times are, in general, not the brightest. Misinformation is the most polite term for that.
CNN/MSNBC on the left, OAN/Breitbart/Fox on the right, tend to slant and use loaded words. They are not really MISinformation, but they tell us how to feel about things-which is inappropriate and MIGHT be considered misinformation. On the other hand, NPR and BBC and AP and WSJ are pretty middle of the road.
I get that many of you do not want to lose your supremacy, but you are going to have to face reality--America is changing demographically and there are certain things you need to adjust to like a Black woman being the press secretary or in the case of Obama--the first non-White POTUS. I get that many cling to the idea that these people are just check boxes and not qualified, because how could they be...right? I understand sharing the top posts is hard to adjust to but there is not much you can do. It's not personal and has nothing to do with you being White. I'm White and I'm not afraid. It is attitude and an antiquated belief system that ensured the White man stayed on top and in power. Diversity is strength in nature. Look at the successful blue states that are racial mixtures compared to the segregated red states that are hardly hanging on by a string. I'm sure this will be deleted, and I'll be put in jail again (LOL) and if anyone responds, it will be to call me the equivalent of a race traitor or a communist/socialist/blahblahblah. I'm all for any color of skin and any member of any culture achieving anything they can work for and are qualified to get what I'm not for is to reward welfare parasites and give minorities Equity because they don't have the capability of achieving this on their own so we give them handouts to make them equal.
I'm all for legal immigration of the best and brightest on the planet Chinese have proven they can come here and be successful through hard work there's no oppression forcing these minorities to be violent drug-dealing welfare parasites this is is a case of Democrats perpetuating the victim complex and encouraging these groups to be angry instead of productive.
Plus a lot of these people in charge are inept, corrupt, and unqualified for their positions and I include many whites and Republicans in my description.

I'm all for equality I'm not for equity and putting equity in the phrase diversity equity and inclusion is basically a Marxist philosophy. I really don't care about white supremacy in fact I find a lot of whites to be out right obnoxious especially in Western culture there's a lot to be said for Eastern cultures - There's something to be said for Nordic cultures and their socially conservative ways also. I find Western cultures classical liberal anything goes Behavior to go too far in many cases at least for my personal liking.

But I’m not sure what you mean by “gender.” I’m guessing something about LBGTQA+? Because I never hear it regarding women. Like seriously never and I hear complaints about race and accusations of racism a lot.
The “misinformation” really is a problem from people confusing Fox News personalities w actual news though.
