If I didn’t live in such an extremely blue state with extreme leftists and we had a moderate Dem in the White House, I would most likely be voting third party instead of Republican. My biggest issue currently is how the Democrats acted during covid. I currently see the Dems as a much bigger threat overall than the Republicans.

Yep, Leftist and their media love to use lies and partial truths for political gain. What's new After all, they lied about BLM and it's Marxist underpinnings, Jussie Smollet, the Covington kids, Michael the "Gentle Thug" Brown, and white Supremist being behind most of the attacks on Asian people last years when the perps were 95% black.

as i said it is your right to have your own opinion, my opinion is that somebody would go back to the platform of 1948 Truman lol....our politics get all distorted with the smallest percentage groups of people taking on outsized priority.....i am a liberal but think obama missed his historic opportunity to re-regulate the stock market and our money system in general in 2008...

i had an 'essential job" during much of covid as was not affected, i think that despite computer modeling

covid was mostly guess work, do nothing or something, i am not a covid expert

Agreed. Banning those things would be absurd on many levels. We don't need a right-wing cult taking over the Republican party any more than we needed the cult of Wokeism to have taken over the Democratic party.

Agreed. It's also a lot cheaper than patching up botched up abortions or having a kid be raised by the state because mom didn't want them.

The right isn’t a cult so much as a self righteous circle jerk. The left is truly a cult in every sense of the word.

I'm not failing to understand anything. I've made numerous posts describing the cult of Wokeism as being one of the preeminent existential threats to the long-term continuity of our species. I agree about the right at present... mostly. So-called "common good conservatism" is the drunk uncle version of the contemporary left's much more concerning authoritarianism—more often than not it's comparatively benign, easily dismissed and placated, and not something to take too seriously until uncle Cletus finds the gun & truck keys that MeeMaw hid when the bottle of home-brewed swill was still full.

I'm ok with people killing their kids via abortion, just don't pretend that's not what you are doing. Because you are ending life.

Told ya so. Anyone who thinks the religious right is finished at abortion is delusional. With their people on the Supreme Court there will be no stopping them.

[quote=CrowGirl;63400541]In several of the other active threads on the abortion topic opponents of abortion rights argue that predictions that lawmakers will come after Plan B, IUDs and other contraception, etc., are paranoid fear mongering. Then there's this thread.[/QUOTE

Hey that's what you guys tell us every time politicians want to ban guns - you say - don't worry about it but now you're worried?
