There was a poster on another site who said there should be no abortion exceptions even when the mothers life is at stake. Her reasoning? It was better to let the mother die so she could go to Heaven with the baby.
How can there ever be rational discussions about abortion when nuts like that exist?

If some hold that view, it doesn’t negate the fact that someone who believes that letting a pregnant woman die is preferable to saving her based on the fables they believe in and thinks that belief should be forced on us all. You ok with your daughter dying from an ectopic pregnancy to satisfy those views? Pretty sure not.
Not everybody has the luxury of being able to go to another state.
In the eyes of conservatives, poor people are morally deficient anyway. The GOP lawmakers have enough cash to send their daughters and mistresses on a nice little vaca to California - they're certainly not the sort of people who deserve to have their lives derailed over a little mistake.
You know what I find scary...if a pregnant women is shot and killed, the murder, in I think 30 state, they can be charge with two counts of murder. But its legal, right now, to murder a baby up to actual birth in some states.
No it is not legal to murder a baby in any state.
What is possible is if the life of the mother is threatened a choice can be made to save her rather than the unborn child.
Not surprising as many republicans believe that the government owns their bodies. This would be saying that being a resident of a state means that the state controls everything you do in life, owns you.

Both parties favor very big government. The parties have gotten together and decided which issues each on would take. They cant collect bribery on issues that they all agree with. So republicans claim some issues and democrats claim others. That way they can raise money based on opposing the other parties preferences. In reality, the politicians have no preferences except to bring in bribery money.
