As for porn, like prostitution, it's been here long before any of us were born and it will be here long after we are all dead. And, I'm sure none of us are worse for it!

No, we are worse off. thats what this thread is about.

We are slowly being desensitized/ acclimated to VERY extreme pornography, and this progression can easily be seen thru out history...that is scary imo!

Just think what people 'wont care too much about' in 20-40 yrs ahead?! In other word, where the hell else is this going to go, (if not to the underage?)... I guess animals is possible, but thats always been on the fringe, and there is not many people who are into that kind of porn anyway), basically 'underage' is really the last red line that exists and its slowly eroding.

How more extreme can porn even become, considering whats the norm right now? I dont even want to answer to that.

You're so right. Porn degrades women because women porn stars are hotter and bigger breasted than most other women. Porn degrades men too, making them feel inadequate, because male porn stars are cuter and are bigger dicked than regular guys.

Must not make men/women feel too degraded...have you seen many men or women vocally opposing pornography recently, (ANY kind of pornography?)

The usual wild accusations.

With the usual complete lack of any evidence or support, other than "I'm guessing it's like this!"

I believe the poster you quoted was using his own personal experience as evidence. There’s plenty of other people who share the same opinion due to personal experience. It’s kinda like when I tell people I experienced marijuana addiction and they say there’s no evidence that’s a real thing.

What has changed is the availability. With the internet, it is now possible to access porn with the click of a mouse, and to find any type of fetish you want. But again, every teenage boy in the 60s had Playboy and Hustler in his bottom drawer, and imagined what he would do to the woman. Only now he doesn't have to use his imagination so much, because its on video.

The exception is kiddie porn. It's around. It is not acceptable, and is still illegal, as it should be. Porn is degrading to women, but as long as the models participate willingly there is little to do about it. Children are a different story, as is human trafficking.
I think that the availablity, to kids came about with the VCR. No longer did they have to find an older person's stash and the ability to make pirate copies of tapes meant that one kid no longer had to horde and protect his private stash.

Fast forward to today and the only limit on availablity is the fear that a free site might leave something on your computer that overwelms your anti-viral software

Good thing toxic is subjective.

Luckily we live in a society where one can view all the porn and visit all the strip clubs they can handle.

Sorry that you don’t believe voluntary sex workers are real people.

I believe he was using a personal anecdotal as fact.

Wouldn’t life be so much better without porn, strip clubs, night clubs, bars, gambling, alcohol, cigarettes, guns, junk food, rap music, video games, social media, and weed?

I believe you’ll enjoy North Korea, a lot less toxic options over there.
