In the 80's, a study was done to estimate the percentage of the population that was Narcissistic vs. Empathetic. It was a rather shockingly high 30 percent that was Narcissistic. 70 percent were empathetic.
Guess where we are today?
Flip those numbers.
Youth (and adults) tend to be more ignorant, entitled, and violent.
We're doing great as a society.

Interesting you should say that. I am an early boomer, born a few years after WWII ended. Our history books contained information about WWII but it was at the end of the book and somehow we never got to those last few chapters. I can still remember a teacher saying we didn't need to read those last chapters because we all knew what happened then. Right. The teachers knew. We students didn't.

Well, that's a scientific study if I ever saw one!

I've worked in education for 30 years now. I can tell you that the information that you "got from someone, who got told from a few teachers" is just not true. There's just not enough money in it, and I am unaware of any college programs that require people to teach in a public school in order to complete the course... except for teaching programs (which one goes into because they WANT to be a teacher).

There is no need for an apostrophe in "Jamaicans." An apostrophe does not make the word plural. Since we're talking about "education," you might like to know this.

"Do you know how many continents there are?"

The US did not meet its own criteria if nationhood until it achieved international recognition. That occurred when the Kingdom of Morocco recognized the USA on 20 December 1777.

These kids are being asked if they can then parrot conventional blather.
