Don't know if shortages are coming to the U.S. It may depend on how much wheat and corn we export to countries affected by Ukraine supply chain issues. I do expect prices to surge by year's end.
6 months ago I went into a store and it was fully stocked.
What we don't know is if the store you went into was in the process of cleaning, installing new shelving, had a truck shipment run a day late or so forth.
Many of those anecdotes were presented as proof of widespread bare shelves and apocalyptic doom.....
Unless these posters live in equatorial Africa, I really don't believe shelves are bare. I go to the grocer multiple times per week and have never seen bare shelves.
I think we'll be fine. We'll find a way to screw some poor countries out of their supplies and keep them for ourselves. Prices will definitely go up, just another Putin Price Hike.
