For calling a black player "Jackie". So is that now another racial epithet that no one can use?

Yeah that is some BS.

Donaldson, who is white, said the "Jackie" comment was in reference to a 2019 interview with Sports Illustrated in which Anderson described himself as feeling like "today's Jackie Robinson" in how he's "getting to a point where I need to change the game." Donaldson said it was a reference about which he has "joked around" with Anderson in the past.

That guy likely got laughed at by lots of players.

Calling a baseball player by the name of a pioneer in his field is now racist. OK, got it. I'll never make that mistake again.

I thought being called "Jackie" would be a compliment. One of the great baseball players of all time? Hell if I were a baseball player and someone called me Jackie I would consider it an honor and I'm White.

A one game suspension. Haha…MLB shooting themselves in the foot.

They’re starting to look more like the woke nba and nfl.

If I were him I’d sue if they docked him one game’s earnings.

Is the nhl also going woke?

When Donaldson, one of the most competitive people I have ever seen, gets back he will probably ask if its OK to call him "Karen".
BANG! Suspended for another month!

That's what the dems are doing to this entire country, turning everyone into a bunch of race obsessed morons.

Everything is seen through the prism of racism. There is no pause to stop and understand the context or meaning of what people say. The race obsessed jack-booted thugs just assume everyone is a racist, and knee jerk punishments are handed out without thought.

Tim Anderson compares himself to Jackie Robinson, slams MLB offices on diversity

Anderson is decidedly new school. And he told SI that his approach is blazing a new path, comparing himself to an icon of American sports progress.

“I kind of feel like today’s Jackie Robinson,” Anderson said. “That’s huge to say. But it’s cool, man, because he changed the game, and I feel like I’m getting to a point to where I need to change the game.”
