House Republicans have started an ad campaign targeting President Joe Biden and Democrats over the country's baby formula shortage.
The National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee (NRCC) released a twenty-second video as part of a five-figure ad campaign that blames Biden and Democrat lawmakers for "failing to fix the crisis."
With a baby heard crying continuously through the ad, the following words appear line by line over photos of a crib, and of Biden with his mouth on his hands —
The Democrats and Biden need to be hammered over this, and gas, and inflation, and the border, and war in Ukraine, and Afghanistan, and COVID, and mandates, and the list goes on.
I'm not sure that the republicans are down with going to war with the other side and that is what needs to happen. They should be on TV every single day reminding everyone of what has happened over the past 1.6 years. Maybe showing the minions what it is going to look like over the next 2.5 years. Adopt the ways of the left.
They appear not to care how much it costs americans to pay for things. The global elite's plan is to reduce the standard of living we are used too as the standard of living of the rest of the world goes up. They don't want all Americans with a single family home with 3 cars in the driveway.
We play our part by not wanting to do manual labor jobs, which somebody has to do or no houses will get built to help with shortages. Not everyone can make a living as an uber driver or twitch streaming in the gig economy. When construction jobs are left opened and there's only so many people to fix the bridges, build new roads, etc. it will create problems, at least until the boomers start to die off in large numbers which frees up housing stock, which hopefully isn't bought by wealthy investors looking to create a nation of rental properties.
I agree with the poster above... republicans won't want to fight hard like Trump did and use the democrat's tactics against them.. they will want to play nice and maintain the status quo, or be more worried about campaign fund donations and padding their net worth. Democrats talking about politicians being immature and divisive is a talking point they use. Democrats are more divisive than republicans... they use pressure to get the right to cave to their demands, and until recently, the right always did. Now we have a grassroots effort to get rid of the left from institutions, because the right politicians are still largely ineffectual in getting the job done with some exceptions. They don't have the balls to FIGHT... they want to play nice... the intellectual wing of the party, the RINOs who might as well be democrats.
Where in the ad do the Republicans state what they would have/will do to help the formula crisis? (They do not, by the way.)
Republicans need to start offering solutions. Stating the faults of your opposition gets your base to turn out, but you need to provide solutions to win Independents, Moderates, and even some disillusioned Democrats. (All voting groups crucial to win, as every vote, every seat, and every state counts.)
There was no shortage until a plant was closed. When the plant was closed down they should have thought about what shortages this could have caused and taken steps to mitigate. This should have been foreseen.
But the current administration says they are not good mind readers.. I believe even this forum saw it coming a few months ago.

We saw this coming in 2018 with the tariffs and import limits imposed on baby formula... You know, some other source in case one of our plants had to go down.
Nothing to do with the issue. The Biden Administration did not have any contingency plans after it was brought to the Govt's attention of the plant closure.

Because there are none. Two companies own most of the market (4 total for a nation of 340+ million) with Abbot controlling almost all of the specialized formulas for infants with allergies/GI issues. There is no one else that makes these items and they cannot be imported without a huge cost from Europe, and it's banned to import from Canada.
What we have here is an Oligopoly and this is what happens when a market is controlled by a few Corporations. How it got this way is like a decades-long story.
