Ukraine has wheat exports, and other food products, that are important to the world.

A policy of no-negotiation with Russia will cause famines around the world. Russia is sending some wheat shipments through the Bosphorus but is then said to have stolen the wheat.

Well, Russia says that it is defending Russian-speaking people from neo-nazi militias. Okay, Russia might have put-up the Russian-speaking break-away regions of Ukraine in the first place but they do have their side of the issue.

The U.S. now says that Russia's goals are unknown. Well, with the siege of Kyiv and Kharkiv lifted then Russia is closer to defending the terms of the Minsk agreement. But now they have included Kherson as a break-away area !

One source in Ukraine is saying that 20000 people were killed in Mariupol. Hopefully, it's not true but the point is, why is Ukraine willing to take these losses ? Why not negotiate a neutrality ?

Your comparison doesn't work because the US wasn't invaded. Ukraine was. If this hypothetical neighborhood was located in Arizona, and you lived in New York, would you fly over to Arizona to get in the middle of a property dispute???

I think that ship sailed back when Boris made a surprise visit to Ukraine when Zelensky was pursuing negotiations with Russia with Turkey mediating them over a month ago. The aim is to bleed Russia as much as possible and fight them down to the last Ukrainian man. All I can say is good luck. Zelensky himself is admitting that they're losing 100 men a day which is a gross understatement and more like 500 a day.

At this point I can only see the end result being the cession of the more Russo-oriented east and south, including Odessa. Ukraine would become a rump landlocked neutral country based in the central part of the country with perhaps Poland taking a chunk out of western Ukraine which historically they've had historic and cultural ties to going back centuries on the basis of a 'humanitarian' mission.

And suddenly the people who've been defending Russia's actions on the "The US has no place to speak due to past crimes!" platform found a use for the worst perpetrator of said past.

Those of us with common sense knew this would have to be the outcome for two months now.

I personally can’t believe the UK right now. Their citizens voted for autonomy from the control of the EU and to make their own decisions that are best for their country. They’ve chosen to warmonger more than all other EU countries. Maybe this is just them trying to act tough and make their mark on foreign policy, but Boris Johnson seems to be a disaster.

Historically, Kissinger normalized relations with China which reduced Russian influence in the world.

Then a few years later, Russia broke-up the Soviet Union and entered world trade markets. Obviously, Russia built up its oil and natural-gas exports.

Uh huh…

February 21, 1972

Chairman Mao: Do you have anything to say, Doctor?

Dr. Kissinger: Mr. Chairman, the world situation has also changed dramatically during that period. We’ve had to learn a great deal. We thought all socialist/communist states were the same phenomenon. We didn’t understand until the President came into office the different nature of revolution in China and the way revolution had developed in other socialist states.

That was Kissinger admitting to Mao that they knew Mao’s cultural revolution was a giant brainwashing scheme that mostly worked. It didn’t work to transform everyone into Maoist, it did transform enough people into drones for a reign of terror until Mao had complete control.

So, 1972, huh? Same year the world economic forum was formed. Same year we eased relations with the world and abandoned the gold standard so American could be slowly eased into a global standard of living that was significantly less than Americans were used to because of the soils of war.

Anyway, that was th same year Gloria Steinem started Ms. magazine too. Steinem being a CIA change agent who just so happens to have been a major contributor radical feminism and Critical Race Theory via Bell and Davis.
