No, it's more related to pre-reformed Russian.

And then there are varieties of Ukrainian dialects throughout the *country.*

Some are very easy to understand, some are not ( Polish words being mixed into them including.)

Russia has increased the age of eligibility .
Like it or not, your side is hurtin'. They will lose this war even if they win in Ukraine.

Manpower aside, Ukraine has an unlimited supply of ammo. Russia does not.

People are more likely to suffer to keep their freedom than to suffer while trying to steal stuff from others

I don't know about that. Russia keeps advancing and doesn't seem to have any ammunition problems. There may come a time but not yet. Zelensky is also conscripting like crazy and he has less of a population base to conscript from. We will just have to see which side folds first. Either way, it is unlikely to be pretty. Us armchair generals cannot make predictions so easily.

A sign of things to come for Russian terrorists in Ukraine.

And who do you think "Austrians" are?

No, being German doesn't mean being "Prussion" - their state was born with unification of many different kingdoms.

And no, the religious divide came later, since Germany is a place where the reformation of church (of the Catholic church that is,) took place, and the Protestant church took hold.

It all goes back to Martin Luther with other words, and that's how Germany's map ( in terms of religious background) looks;

https://preview.redd.it/eaom1acu73q6...=webp&b23d82fe

But why am I pointing at all of this? Just to show how the whole "Greater Germany" area is interrelated.

Same is with Russia/Ukraine.

So I chuckle when all these *ideologists* are trying so hard to pronounce Russians and Ukrainians as "unrelated" people, using the "language differences" as indication including.

Quote:
As far as Ukrainians not being Russians... That's fine and cool. They can be whatever they like. I guess it's up to them to chose whether they want to be Malo-Russians, Novo-Russians or Proto-Russians... Nobody care what language they chose to speak in Kiev,
Not true.

These are all widely-discussed issues on both sides of the border.

Quote:
all Russians want from them is disbanding their military, dropping NATO aspirations (for good, not in paper), and cooperating with Donestk People Republic in investigation of who ordered shelling of Ukrainians cities in 2014,
And who are these people in "Donetsk People Republic" in the first place, that it's Russia's business to protect them?

Quote:
who conducted those shellings, and extradicting the guilty parties to Donetsk... That's not too much to ask, is it?
Yes, you are asking too much in case if Ukrainians ( and Ukraine) is some place unrelated to Russia.

Precisely that.

They also want them to stop sabotaging Russian shipping past Ukraine's (former) coastline, and to stop shutting down the gas pipeline going through Ukraine. But in order for that to happen, Russia would have to retreat from Donetsk, and give it back to Ukraine. The sticking point, clearly, is the existence of the Donetsk People's Republic.

So yes, it IS too much to ask.

We already tried that, it was called the Cold War. Now maybe you’re too young to have experienced it, but the world decided nuclear holocaust was not the way to go.
Im old enough that I was in boot camp during the height of the cold war, and they locked us down from news etc when russia rammed one of our naval vessels.

Any more nonsense? Im 52, and was in boot camp at age 17.

Now back on topic.

Looks like the mil bloggers in Russia are losing their minds over HIMARS taking out their ammo supplies. As one pointed out they need to decentralise their ammo and command and control, but that they 100% are not capable of doing so.

Ukraine has been hitting multiple ammo depots every day to immense effect, and is now iterating through command and control centers its now being reported.

I don't see any of this "losing their minds" on the Russian military channels.

What makes them very, very angry over there however, is that Ukrainians are using these newly-supplied foreign weapons to shell specifically the residential districts of Donetsk and near-by towns. And the amount of killed/wounded children ( and other civilians) there lately.

Let me put a face on one of the victims there...
