And yet they have been fighting for 6 months and they still haven't beaten the Ukrainians. The Russian military is a complete joke. Russia is a complete joke. If you are scared of the Russians then it's time to surrender to them now. Because they will never be any weaker then they are now.
The Ukrainians are effectively NATO troops. They are armed and trained by NATO. They are the largest military in Europe. They are getting intelligence directly from US spy satellites. The only thing they don't have is American airpower, but Russian surface-to-air missiles could destroy the entire American air force.
Moreover, Russia is not the danger here. That is China. This war couldn't have happened without China supporting Russia. The United States is using proxy forces as expendable soldiers to wear down and bankrupt our geopolitical rivals. As Adam Schiff explained in January 2020, we need Ukraine to fight the Russians over there(with our weapons) so we don't have to fight them over here. The next step is to provoke China into a war over Taiwan, so we can use South Korea/Japan/Vietnam/Philippines as a proxy against China. Give Taiwan and Japan missiles to launch into Chinese cities, and nuclear submarines to blast the Chinese Navy out of the water.
I believe Nazi Germany had a similar plan to defeat the Soviet Union.
In all fairness, Germany would have defeated the Soviets had it not been for western support. We backed the Soviets, not for principled reasons, not because they were the good guys, but because the Germans were perceived as the greater threat. We knew we could contain the relatively-backwards Soviet Union, but had the Nazis won, America would have been thrown out of Europe, Asia, etc. There would be no American Empire.

You seem to believe America would come out unscathed. In reality, the entire west would be destroyed. The entire global system of trade would shut down. The door would be open for every kind of separatist, and a total breakdown of the international order.
What you fail to understand is that the world order of today is purely a consequence of American power. Remove American power and everything would collapse, with wars breaking out everywhere. Including Civil War in this country. Americans are not friends. We tolerate each other because we have no choice.

You like your job, you made it high in the company, and you're expecting a good retirement. It makes sense why you don't want the company to go bankrupt.
Which is why support for war is strongly linked to income. The richer you are, the more you want war. This poll from Rasmussen only goes up to $200k, but I would bet the trend continues all the way to the top, eventually reaching 100%.

"Against the backdrop of military defeats in the Donbass and other regions, the Zelensky regime authorized terrorist acts with the use of chemical poisons against Russian military personnel and civilians," the military department noted.
As specified in the Russian Ministry of Defense, the military personnel who performed tasks in the Zaporozhye region near Vasilyevka were taken to the hospital on July 31 with signs of severe poisoning. "As a result of the survey, a poisonous substance, type B botulinum toxin, was found in the body of servicemen," they noted, adding that specialists from the Main Research and Testing Institute of Military Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Defense (St. Petersburg) conducted an additional analysis, which unambiguously confirmed the presence of organic poison of artificial origin - botulinum toxin type "B".

For the Russians it is off to a terrible start. For the rest of the world it is going fairly well. All will be well if the Russians can be corralled in their own country until they go broke.
After going bankrupt, continuing population decline in Russia will keep them from ever reforming again. Some experts expect Russia to lose half their population in the next 80 years. So historically, they will simply go way.

I mean, Europe is on the verge of freezing to death and deindustrializing. There will be famine/destabilization in the third-world leading to a massive refugee crisis. Inflation is in the double-digits in most of the west, and US sanctions will cause global dedollarization. But if you want to pretend everything is fine...
I'm baffled; don't have much of an idea how the Crimea and Belarus explosions are being pulled off. Can't wait to see the movie, though.
If elected, Trump would not offer near as much support for Ukraine. At least I don't think so.
Would it matter?........ At that point they would be three years into the war. I would think Ukraine would have enough materiel to do the job or fail, and the result of the war would be determined.
But maybe not.
