Absurd. I am just posting like everyone else.

But there are quite a few Ukie-bots here.

I understand, if you disagree with my views you have to denigrate. That's all you have left.

Russia has exposed itself as a collapsed empire that is unable to deal with the 21st century world. The culture of lying and brutality from those in power make it incapable of the self reflection, self criticism and reform necessary to compete in the modern world. It will probably continue in this manner until the collapse is complete. It's two possible end games are revolution or failed state style third world poverty.

Its resident liars here will say otherwise, but they are either paid to do so or are delusional nationalists.

You can stay in your echo chamber and ignore reality. That is your privilege.

Nothing like a fake election to prop up your almost-failed state. On the way to third world poverty style if the collapse doesn’t happen soon, as Somnifor nicely put it

...
Difficult to predict what the future holds for Russia, but thousands of disgruntled soldiers returning home can't be good.

BREAKING NEWS!

Turkey's Erdogan addressed the UN General Assembly on the situation in Ukraine. He said Putin told him at a recent summit, that he's ready to end the war "as soon as possible", and that his negotiations with P. are heading in that direction. (I know: we'll believe it when we see it.)
Quote:
In an interview broadcast on Monday, Mr. Erdogan said that Russia should return all Ukrainian territory it has captured, and indicated that negotiations that he has been helping mediate are moving in that direction.

“The lands which were invaded will be returned to Ukraine,” Mr. Erdogan said in an interview with “PBS NewsHour.” He was careful not to criticize President Vladimir V. Putin over his conduct of the war, but drew a clear line on the return of territory.

“This is what is expected,” Mr. Erdogan said. “This is what is wanted. Putin has taken certain steps. We have taken certain steps.”

“An invasion cannot be justified,” he added.
[...]

In the interview on Monday, he said Mr. Putin gave him the impression when they met recently in Uzbekistan that “he’s willing to end this as soon as possible.”
Does anyone (among the Americans here) watch PBS Newshour? The interview was broadcast there yesterday.

https://www.nytimes.com/live/2022/09...s-set-to-speak (Sorry, NY Times has a paywall.)

There's a link to the PBS interview in the article. Erdogan also spoke to Putin about returning Crimea to Ukraine. He said Turkey's relatives [referring to the Crimean Tatars] live in Crimea. He would like to see it returned to Ukraine, and was firm with Putin about all territory taken by Russia being returned to Ukraine in order to bring about a lasting peace.
