The Charleston shooter was on prescription drugs.
Dylan Roof had a strip of generic Suboxone when he was arrested. Subs are typically used by those with an opiate/ opioid monkey on their back. He had not been prescribed the medication. Reportedly, he had a history of poly substance abuse.

Both the Sandy Hook and Parkland shooters refused medications.

The Las Vegas shooter had a trace amount of Valium, one of the most prescribed medications in the world, in his system. This med is typically prescribed for anxiety.

The progressives do not understand this. In their eyes, every young male is a murderer. The only way of stopping them is to deny them the firearm they would most certainly use. You see, there are no good kids and bad kids--as I said, each is a murderer waiting for an opportunity. It's just another manifestation of the left's whackjob collectivism philosophy.

And yea I agree, we need to change hearts and minds and souls to stop killings.
Mass shooting is defined as a single incident with 4 or more victims.

Within mass shooting are those where the shooter and victims have a connection versus when the targets are random and body count seems to matter most to the shooter.

The Sandy Hook shooter used his own and his mother’s guns. Mom was the first victim before the shooter rampaged at a school.

Absentee parents.
Broken homes/nobody's home.
Materialistic excesses of society.
Little in the way of positive and solid social structures anymore.
Social media.
Expectations.
Atrocious diets.
Not enough exercise, sunshine, and fresh air.
Movies and video games that desensitize and give the impression that you can shoot your way out of anything. Of course, few are affected negatively to such an extreme, but like other vices, not everyone can handle it.
Bleak outlook on the future thanks to the pervasive nihilism coming at them from all sides.

All that leads to depression.
Western medicine has a pill for everything.
Pills can backfire spectacularly.

All three of them used psychiatric medications.

Parkland:

“The least surprising aspect of the tragedy was that, by this time, evidence had already emerged that Nikolas (left) had been taking psychiatric medication. For example, NBC reported that Nikolas’s mother, who died 3 months ago, had told mental health investigators in 2016 that her son suffered from ADHD, depression and autism but insisted he received his necessary medication as prescribed. This was confirmed by officials who stated that, at the time of the shooting, Nikolas “was receiving mental health treatment services and that he was taking medication.”

Dylan Roof (Charleston):

Yes, he was taking an opiate, but he was also taking psychiatric meds.

“CNN also detailed the fact Roof was taking antidepressants before the mass murder. As The Free Thought Project has reported on numerous occasions, antidepressants are known to cause suicide and homicides in some individuals.

While it was known that Roof was abusing suboxone at the time of the murders, the admission of antidepressant use is significant.

Unsealing Roof’s court documents, which revealed not only that he was autistic but was also taking antidepressants, should result in a larger discussion about not only the safety of antidepressants but also a long overdue conversation about the number of mass murderers who were on them.”

Sandy Hook:

“…later investigations found that [Adam Lanza] had been treated with Lexapro (Escitalopram) and Celexa at different times and had stopped taking both drugs.”

Please note that stopping these medications can cause violence as well.

Politicized?? How about for the love of God, can we please finally work on this problem before the next madman slaughters our innocent citizens with yet another AR15?

This is how change happens. When horrible disasters occur, we realize we need to do things differently. And not just sit here on our thumbs allowing for this to keep happening over and over due to the stubborn heartless gun lobby.

With regards to mental health, there's not enough psychologists/psychiatrists to do mental health evals every month on every single legal gun owner in the US, in order to decide if their guns should be taken away from them if they are found to be crazy!

Maybe we don't need sweeping gun control laws. We don't need to take guns away from women, or from middle-aged men. There is a very specific cohort here. Why don't we concentrate on keeping guns out of the hands of young men?
What is the common denominator here? They are all Americans.

"The US has approximately 5% of the world's population and 42% of civilian gun ownership.”

the real common denominator is CIA involvement.
