I mean, seriously....have any of you anti-gun people thought this through?
What part of an intelligent mind would demand that their own government (in the USA's case, the most powerful entity in the history of the known universe), govern them harder and DISARM them?
Free people are armed people. Who in their right mind would ever think it's smart to have their governments be the only entity with guns?
Do you think the Jews in Germany in the 1930s would ever think this is a good idea? Do you think the American Indians would have ever thought that was a good idea?
Because a nutcase goes out and shoots people, YOU WISH TO GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO ARMS?
In the USA we are lucky to have men like Jefferson, Madison and Adams who founded this country based on the CITIZENS, not on the RULING CLASS. One of the things that makes the USA so special is that the INDIVIDUAL has the same rights as even the president.
Most countries were founded based on what's best for the King...and an armed citizenry certainly wasn't that. They didn't want any "uprisings." To this day most citizens around the world are neutered by their governments because of the lack of individual liberty in their countries' founding documents.
Has history taught you people nothing?

Well let’s see. If you want a driver license you have to have someone vouch for you that you’re a good driver. I think it would work perfectly. You get two people to vouch for you, and if you use that gun in a commission of a felony your references would each owe a 10k fine. Done.
The public knows who these wackos are. No one is ever surprised. If you’re willing to risk 10k that the person isn’t going to shoot up a school that’s a good start to stopping this madness.
