Kevin Spacey now faces extradition proceedings from the US to Britain in relation to sex offences.
Spacey had a long history of working in the theatre and became artistic director of the Old Vic theatre in London in 2003, it was during his tenure at the Old Vic that most of the allegations are believed to have occurred.

Three complaints relate to sexual abuse which is alleged to have taken place in London, and one in Gloucestershire.
He also faces an additional serious sexual offence charge in London.
The first two charges relate to alleged sexual assaults on a man, now in his 40s, in London in March 2005, while a second alleged victim, a man now in his 30s, is claimed to have been assaulted in London in August 2008.
The serious sexual offence charge - causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent - also relates to the second alleged victim.
The third complainant relates to an alleged assault on a man who is now in his 30s in Gloucestershire in April 2013.
While the CPS has authorised the charges against Mr Spacey it is understood he has not been formally charged as he is not in the country.
Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division, said that following the review of evidence the CPS had "authorised criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault against three men".
She added: "The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial."
The CPS said it could not confirm or deny whether or not Mr Spacey, an American, will need to be extradited to the UK.
I can fully appreciate the irony that after years of squashing attempts for a #metoo movement to blossom it really only took off when it coincided with Brett Kavanaugh's nomination and the energy thrown into it due to politics.
The fact that it then enveloped a huge number of hollywood types that would have helped push for it due to politics and destroyed them including one of the founders of #metoo.
The list of hollywood types that have been really *destroyed* is long but the ones that while not facing possible jail instead are carreer dead is much longer.
P.S. I fully realize that bad behavior is bi-partisan, it's just interesting to see big name people FINALLY get busted after decades of abuse and being sheltered because they're Cosby, Weinstein, Spacey etc.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge the 70-year-old after a review of evidence gathered by the force.
The Metropolitan Police said it is alleged two offences took place between 31 July and 31 August 1996.
The alleged victim is a woman who is now aged in her 50s, the force said.
Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS special crime division, said: "The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against the defendant are active and that he has the right to a fair trial."
The CPS said it was "extremely important" there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice the case.
