A sober consideration of unpleasant possibilities.

Certainly right about self-defeating.

We must prepare for Putin's worst weapons
By invading Ukraine, Mr. Putin has proved that he is capable of illogical and self-defeating decisions. If he loses in Ukraine, he not only will have failed to achieve his life’s ambition to reverse what he sees as the “greatest geopolitical catastrophe” of the 20th century — the collapse of the Soviet Union — but he will also have permanently diminished Russia as a great power and reinvigorated its adversaries.

Not only is Putin winning in Ukraine, he’s getting Europe and the US to destroy their economies. Romney is an idiot.

Russia has consistently expanded it's borders since the Russo-Ukrainian war began in 2014 when Obama was president. Obama told Putin he would have more flexibility after the election and the rest is history.

This talk of Russia losing is not based on reality as it is today. I wish Ukraine had a path to absolute victory, but they don't unless Europe and the USA is willing to step in and directly stop Putin by force. And you know what that means... The odds of nuclear war rises exponentially. It's not at 30% today like the western propagandists would like us to believe, but if western forces directly intervene, it could surpass that.

Our western leaders like Pelosi should stop making promises to Zelenskyy that they have no intention of keeping. Pelosi and Biden cannot comprehend the magnitude of the situation at hand, nor can they properly weigh the consequences. It's a shame that these are considered the best of the best when it comes to the highest positions of leadership in the USA, but it is what it is.

Romey pressed the issue that Putin was a serious threat at a time when many mocked him for it. So while I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with your overall assessment, it seems odd to pick this topic to call him out as an "idiot." Can you elaborate with respect to this topic?

165 nations, including China and India, have refused to sanction Russia.

Russia's currency is at a 2 year high against the dollar after Biden said he would turn it to "rubble."

Russia initially attacked spread thin and never achieved the 3 to 1 advantage widely thought of as necessary for an attacking force. They have since condensed their positions and are now making gains in the east.

Ukraine's military is hurting bad.

The US had been fed a steady stream of propaganda about the war from Ukraine and our media. The ghost of Kiev, the Snake Island soldiers, the Russian tank running over a car was actually a Ukrainian tank losing control turning, etc.

Biden is senile and Putin is a sociopath. We don't need to stumble into nuclear war.

Except for a four year gap. (2016-2020)

NOOO. Mitt Romney said that Russia is the #1 threat to the U.S. This is back in 2012 when were dealing with ISIS, Iran, Afghanistan and the growing economical power of China who many in our government and corporations are in their pockets. Mitt had to say something that bold, since he was for the Iraq and Middle East wars and those turned out to be a debacle he had to switch to Russia since he was seeking power. He couldn't run on the W Bush/Cheney neo con policy, it was a failure so he switched to Russia. He couldn't go after China, he and his corporate buddies make too much money out of China.

Many rivals are a threat but our #1 threat? NO. I guess anybody that doesn't bend the knee to the U.S. and can fight is a huge threat to the New World Order.
