Enforce what is already law. Why hasn't Hunter Biden been arrested yet for his felony purchase of a handgun? If you are going to crack down on guns shouldn't you go after people that have violated the laws on the books? When Hunter Biden serves his time THEN I will listen to gun control proposals.
I’d probably want something along the line everyone who voted Trump has to move to one portion of the country, everyone who voted Biden the other portion.
The Trump portion goes back to the original constitution and bill of rights, and elections are overhauled. Gold as money, no central bank / federal reserve, 4th amendment, 1st and 2nd protected in absolute etc. Federal government paid strictly through tariffs. Foreign aide banned and treason prosecuted.
The mere suggestion of adjusting the second amendment to read as it possibly was intended - an amendment enshrined in divine glory as though carved into stone by the finger of God - apparently scares the hell out of the majority of Americans.
While we cannot know, one might wonder how those responsible for the authorship of the Constitution of the United States and the Second Amendment - typically credited to Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Thomas Paine, and John Adams - would respond to the question of gun control relative to the present situation the U.S. finds itself in?
The Democrats in the senate have agreed, no assault weapons ban.
Correct
Quote:
WASHINGTON — Sen. Chris Murphy, who is helping lead Senate talks on gun control, said lawmakers don’t plan to bring any bill to the floor that would ban assault weapons or include comprehensive background checks but are actively working on legislation that would include a range of other measures.
Who left? Who abandoned a cause they had spent 10 years and thousands of US lives pursuing?
I never said we weren't superior, and I am on record often saying that the US troops won almost every major battle that occurred from 1966-1975. I have repeatedly pointed out that until Walter Cronkite declared the war lost, Tet was a huge military failure for the NVA/VC. It became a political/propaganda win 100% because of the media.
But we left. America lost their taste for a slogged out war of attrition. Indigenous defenders with small arms have been making their attackers lose their taste for war since the rifled barrels have existed, and really, since the dawn of warfare, where attackers often have to decide between annihilating their opponent, or at some point withdrawing because the force required to continually squash rebellion isn't worth whatever gain you are making from occupation.
I was responding to your, " the Viet Cong and NVA of Vietnam and the Mujahadeen of Afghanistan held their own for decades against the almighty US government, primarily with small arms in the form of the AK-47."
First thing, the Gun EXPERTS need to take charge of defining terms. Socrates said the person who defines the terms wins the debate. We have seen over and over the gun GRABBERS defining a term and then going after it. COP KILLER BULLETS....which could include pretty much every hunting round..... SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL.....which could include ever cheap gun that poor people could afford. and now we have ASSAULT RIFLE. which could mean every semi auto rifle. The Gun EXPERTS need to define the terms. IMHO an "assault rifle" Is a machine gun or sub machine gun. Which have been banned for sale since 1994. So stop letting the gun GRABBERS define the terms.
One of the terms that really needs to be cleared out is ARSENAL......fix it....
Here's the problem, the "experts" call "the gun grabbers" gun grabbers. The "experts" are the ones framing the argument against those that actually want to stop senseless gun violence. The "experts" say their rights Trump everyone else's when someone with high capacity magazines shoots up a school using a bump stock. The "experts" use the slippery slope argument when even suggesting to the compromise of JUST banning 30 round magazines and bump stocks since in mass murders, those are a common denominator.
Simply put, the "experts" can kiss my ass and go to Hell. As seen in the threads over the years, they won't budge nor have a conversation so let's ban everything then have them whine and cry about not being in the conversation when they never acted like they wanted to have one. To the "experts", you brought this on yourself the last 10+ years by obstructing and trying to say you're better than everyone else with "Oh you can't call a 30 round magazine, a banana clip..." "Oh you can't ban those with mental issues, what if it was not a real mental health issue..." "Oh banning bump stocks will just lead to registering all guns..." "Having laws registering all guns is gonna let the gov't come and take our guns because they know who has guns and where..."
Your rights should depend on passing a government test?
No. Never.
