Interesting tidbit - if you remove just inner city gang violence with handguns in just our top 5 most violent cities from our firearm stats, I think we drop out of the top 150 most violent countries.

Honestly, what people think is a national emergency based on emo 18 year olds with AR-15s, turns out our firearm violence problem has another face and another weapon, and is VERY localized to inner cities.

Good for Chicago, keeping the rebuttal alive!

Don't worry. Joe is going to save the day. An AWB, ban on 20 round or more mags, and expanded background checks (whatever that is) will solve all this.

Chicago loves to blame Indiana for all their gun problems. An easy fix to the situation would be to stop and frisk everyone that moves in the areas where murders occur.

But that’s dangerous and racist. So let’s continue blaming Indiana while not fixing the problem.

As soon as someone brings up S & F people start screaming about "mah rights !!" , yet it's okay to go after the 2A rights of a 100 million law abiding citizens.

Typical of democrats. Blame everyone else for everything. God forbid a democrat actually has the guts to take responsibility for anything ever! No wonder criminals can relate to dems

They've had concealed carry permits in Illinois for 8 years now. All the gun laws in the world don't matter when people can travel to other states and buy 100s of guns to sell to thugs in Chicago.

Read these and tell me we're not flat-out allowing gun trafficking:

I am pro-2A to the teeth but buying 20+ handguns over a year span should automatically raise flags or be outright banned. Give cash rewards to gun shop owners who refuse sales to people who are later found to be trafficking. Any reasonable legislation is DOA in Congress because it's controlled by lobbyists employed by gun manufacturers (NRA). And they've been convincing idiots for decades that the government is coming to take their guns unless they vote for their guy.

Give me an example pre-Covid. I know crime has gone up recently in part to Democrat DAs being soft. But crime was plenty bad before then.
