Just wanted to thank President Biden for his refusal to lower the Medicare premiums from the highest increase ever.

And the increase was to cover a drug that has not been approved for use for Alzheimer’s!

With inflation now over 8%, this kind of an increase wreaks havoc with a senior trying to make ends meet.

There are so many things I want to say about Biden, but I’d likely be unable to post anything, so I’ll just behave and leave it at that!

did you really expect him (or any politician) to lower the premiums??

that was the whole argument AGAINST medicare for all... it would cost 6 trillion a year, and its cost would INCREASE every year

Not my pension. That's what called living on a fixed income.

yes...and when you have years like this with inflation being plus10% that is a big jump in overall costs

6 trillion plus 10% is......6.6 trillion the NEW cost for this year... and then comes next year (and IF (big IF) inflation was only 2%..still would end up being 6.73 tr next year

btw we only pull in 4 tr in revenue with our 5t budget..imagine adding 6t to our already 5t budget

that's why you will never see M4A or singlepayer.... it would be impossible to fund

It was because of that new expensive drug that they decided not to cover after all. But I don't think premiums will get adjusted lower

That 40 billion we just gave away to Ukraine probably could have helped with that
