I'm with you... but it's for the same reason that people don't want parents/doctors pronouncing the child a boy or girl based on what parts they come out with.
Don't know what the magic age is for legal tattoos, but there's a whole big bunch of young folks making that decision way too early.
In an ideal world, where nothing backfired, what would your stance be on these age policies?
Age of consent ---- 21 or no more than 3 years younger, whichever is earlier
Alcohol ---- none as long as with parent, 21 otherwise
Circumcision ---- none
Draft ---- no draft should be allowed
Driving ---- 16
Smoking ---- 30
Voluntary military service ---- 18
Voting ---- 21 unless in military

I'd say 18 is a good age to green light most of Life's Liberties and Privileges Except for drinking alcohol and smoking weed where it is legal.
You left one off your list OP, the idea of Gender Bending. No kid should be allowed to start their hormone treatments or life altering surgeries until they are at least 18.
As long as anyone can get puberty blockers at any time no questions asked.

If it's a blessing, how do you know if you were circumcised at birth?
If mother nature intended you without foreskin, that's how you'd be born. There is some scientific evidence that ED is linked to circumcision (higher in circumcised males) as well as diminished pleasure.
I think 16 for driving the rest 18 and early entry to the military 17 no younger. Rape is about yes or no. Age don’t matter.
Consent maybe within an age group. Girl 17/ boyfriend turns 18. Big problems. Maybe a two year span. 17/19. Cut it there. They can wait.
In another post I asked if we had less problem with the draft in place ? I was too young to remember, but other countries like Israel, I think it’s mandatory. I think they should put in 2 yrs. After high school. I do.
