On a drive today I saw a bunch of guard vehicles on the hiways. Talked to a long distance trucker tonight, he said he has been seeing them everywhere on his way across the country. Just drills?

It’s either weekend drills or their summer 2 weeks Annual Training
Just thought it was odd that several states were doing it at the same time.
Why school schedules tend to be the same nationwide. There are many training facilities, Regular Army forts and Joint Bases as well as National Guard administered camps.
You must not live near a military base. It happens every single summer, starting in June and peaking in July. National Guard and Reserve units are doing their two week drills.
And, we get this thread most years about this time also.
