With regards to housing, the origins date back to 2008.

In most other countries gas is way more expensive. They deal with it by getting vehicles with good mileage and/or public transportation.
And even then it's pretty limited. Yes, a communist country can set prices but they can't control reality and when the prices are set too far away from the real market clearing price you get inefficiencies. Price of a gallon of gas in China? Around $5.50 in USD per gallon. That's one of the reasons China is still a communist country. They don't try and ignore reality. Venezuela? Price per gallon at under 10 cents. It costs more to refine and distribute the gasoline which was propped up by selling future oil deliveries to foreign countries that Venezuela mostly defaulted on and stole the money and by borrowing money from Russia and China. Much of the crude oil heads straight out of the country on tankers to service the debts while there's a massive black market and shortages domestically because, well, it's 10 cents a gallon and the government can't afford to keep paying for most of the cost of oil.

Indeed.

Everyone was excited for their stimulus checks, federal UI, not having to pay rent anymore, the 10% of GDP extra in federal deficit spending. Well, not everyone. Some of the RINOs resisted Trump's eviction moratorium and questioned federal UI and stimulus checks, but not very many. Opposing Trump as a Republican is risky business.

Nothing he can do, or nothing he will do?

This is all by design.

Forced deprivation of the economy, ergo US citizens, to force the Great Reset Agenda.

Yes, make us broke and then offer us free and discounted fed programs to bail us out and own us.l see now he is offering free or discounted internet. I'd rather be without than take part in his plan to own us.

He needs to take his free and discounted fed programs and put them where the sun don't shine.

Gotta hand it to Biden on this one:
1. He's correct, and
2. He takes a lot of blame and doesn't cry about it like Trump did.

US Gas prices are much lower than Europe
Gas prices are about the same as when W was in office (inflation factored in)
Government does not control gas prices
Nothing (NOTHING) Biden has done has impacted today's current pricing, except the release of strategic reserves, which, while I don't think was a great idea, had downward pressure on gas prices.

It cracks me up how people can be misled. The President does not control what multinational companies do. Republicans are led to believe they are against socialism, but it seems they want to socialize (Nationalize) oil and gas, like the Saudis and other GCC Countries. It's really staggering to watch and hear what they believe to be true.
And if Grandma had balls she'd be Grandpa. We are not Europe. We are America.

It cracks me up how some people can be so stupid as to think if it's worse in other countries that makes it better for us.

Personally, I think the oil companies are doing this on purpose. They want the people to vote this baffoon out and put Trump or someone like him back in. And it's going to work. Not even related to the subject, but I was at a gas store in very blue Riviera Beach, and two Black women were talking about the rising gas prices and baby formula shortage and they both agreed, come election time, they voting for Trump to come back.

That's what you got out of the comment? I got something completely opposite. The price of gasoline, inflation rate and shortages may be caused something other than the POTUS.

If this person was a CEO of even a cookie company he or she would be let down for being a depressive tone leader. Can you imagine how bad this makes him look? Did his handlers come up with that?

Doesn't matter how bad he looks. He won the vote.

Biden can't bring down price of gas and food but wants us to believe he can reverse the earth's climate.
