"An assault weapon has a fully automatic action."

YOUR definition!

Were you ever in the military?

What is your "expertise" on the issue?

I posted a list of Army rifles, and not a SINGLE one was called an "assault" weapon!

"Calling any firearm an assault rifle is ridiculous. First of all they do not assault anything of their own accord. As of this time only humans and animals do that.
No, assault rifle is not the industry standard nor is there an official military designation. They call each by their individual official designation such as M-4, M-16, M-2, ect. And don’t ever call it a gun. They call it what it is. Calling it anything else just shows you how inept and uneducated someone is.
Assault rifle is simply a term that people, who don’t know about firearms, call firearms they think are scary. Usually, they are referring to the civilian version of the M-16/M-4. those that are actually educated enough to understand call these “Modern Sporting Rifles” and AR-whatever. And just so you know AR does not mean Assault Rifle, it means Armalite Rifle. They do exactly the same thing as every semi-automatic on the market; they automatically chamber a round from a magazine after a round is fired."

Schools are dangerous because they allow dangerous people to attend. Students should have to apply to attend and those not worthy are sent elsewhere.

9 pages in and I am still waiting to see how many truly "dangerous" schools there are in the US. I mean - out of the thousands of schools in this country, how many are actually dangerous? And what are the qualifications for "dangerous"? Fights? Gun Violence? Drugs?

If we had a real Department of Education they would threaten to withhold federal funding for underperforming and under disciplined schools. That is if education was actually their goal. Why it should be abolished immediately.

The states should be responsible for educating their kids. If the kid can pass an exam for their grade level the state gets the funding for that kid. That’s where the federal government’s role should end.

If fights frequently break out in a school, then that is certainly considered dangerous.

Any kind of disruptive or unwarranted behavior in the classroom is bad enough as it is.

Children go to school to learn, not to deal with that kind of nonsense.
