You all seem to be caught up in the "hearsay" claim. Hearsay does not apply except in the way you choose to remember her testimony with exploding heads and wagging tongues. She did not say or allege that Trump did anything in the SUV. She simply says that someone told her a story, an account of the events. The stuff that she witnessed that day and reported under oath is what you should be really concerned with. That is the damaging testimony.
Agent Engel has already sworn in a deposition to the difference of opinion commotion in the vehicle as to the vehicle's destination. He was not asked, nor did he volunteer the details that have now come out and appear to be common knowledge among a group of Secret Service agents. It does not matter whether you like it or not. The details are out there but really added nothing to the story other than a fantastic image of Trump's irate behavior. We already know he is unstable based on other various accounts and was particularly distraught that day when he could not go to the Capitol to lead the insurrection.
For me the idea that he was sending armed, angry people to a location where Mike Pence was and other members of Congress and cared not that they were angry or armed says it all
He SENT them there—wanted to be leading the mob apparently—and had a hissy fit when he was thwarted (either because the SS knew how dangerous it was or how illegal it would indelibly stamp his behavior)…
Now I am wishing Trump had his way
If he HAD led that mob to the Capital he would not be able to escape felony charges…
Given that that is NOT what was being said, and you are complaining about someone else not being precise....Id point out that maybe you should try and describe it more accurately.
That's exactly what is being said:
Quote:
Some of Hutchinson’s testimony has come under scrutiny, including a vivid retelling of an SUV ride in which Hutchinson was told the president tried to grab the steering wheel and “lunged” at a Secret Service agent.
Actually those two agents have given testimony to the 1/6 committee—
I would assume anyone they had testimony from was under oath
But this is not a trial. So Pelosi's Kangaroo court can show 1 part of the interview and ignore the rest or all of it to push their narrative. There is not cross examination and Pelosi doesn't have to show the full interview in context.
That's why this is a political circus. At least with impeachment (which is 100% political) there are 2 sides that can challenge and cross examine all the witnesses and bring other witnesses to challenge witnesses and nobody can put things out of context or hearsay or hide the opposite narrative.
This is basically the version of Pelosi during impeachment but without the defense side or challenge. How many people would look guilty if our justice system was like that?
That smells like hearsay. She wasn't there. The agents weren't there either but heard it from other agents. Unless the agent that saw him do testifies, it remains as hearsay. I see the Dem's paying off someone to "say they saw it with their own eyes." Yup, anytime now....
We know she wasn’t there, she never said she was. We’ve been talking about this for days now.
You don’t need to use the purposefully dismissive terms like “other agents”.
She recalled that Tony Onrnato, Trump’s Deputy Chief of Operations (who was not in the car) told her the story in front of Bobby Engel (who was). Engel did not refute the story at the time, as you’d think he would if it was untrue, or passed along with false details, given he WAS THERE, nor anytime later.
These guys aren’t just agents. They were his lead USS agents.
This has been discussed ad nauseam here and you aren’t posting a bombshell.
It would appear that now this story has been in circulation amongst the security community since it happened and isn’t an exaggeration at all. We’ll see when they testify.
Still patiently waiting for something they can prosecute and convict on.
I'm hoping they find something in order to prevent Trump from running again and ruining the Republican's chances of booted Biden and the Democrats out.
Unfortunately nothing even close yet. Seems all they have is some woman testifying to something of the effect of THE WRONG VEHICLE! He wasn't in "the beast".
That wouldn't prevent him from running, nor being elected, nor sworn in.
There's nothing in the Constitution that prevents anyone who has been convicted of a crime from running for, being elected, nor being sworn in as President.
The only opportunity to permanently prevent Trump would have been if he had been convicted in an impeachment trial. They then could have taken the optional second vote to prevent him from holding federal office again.
A conviction (2022+) might prompt him to decide not to run, but it wouldn't prevent him from running.
Its funny. Everyone wants to talk about the SUV, but none of the folks on the right want to talk about the fact that trump had them turn off the metal detectors so his people could be armed, and that he planned to lead them down to interrupt congress.

You know, the important parts of this.
why talk about something that never happened? As it is you can stop talking about the fake SUV story as well.
