A.G. Merrick Garland memo suggests no federal indictment of Donald Trump before November election

WASHINGTON – Don't expect a federal indictment of Donald Trump over the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection before the November election, legal analysts say a newly revealed Justice Department memo suggests.

Most of the pointless posts are from desperate Trumpers throwing dirt at the hearings but it always blows back in their face. They only prolong the agony. They have to fall back on empty talking points and deflections, but they carry no weight with anyone who has actually watched the hearings and paid attention and has independent thinking skills.

The American public now knows what went on with Trump's big lie, the fact that Trump knew it was a lie, the fake court and ballot challenges, the sedition conspiracy, the coordinated assault on the Capitol at Trump's behest, Trump's attempt to get to the Capitol, the physical threat against Pence and members of Congress, the attempt to overthrow the election and the constitutional transfer of power, the conspiracy with Powell and others in the Oval Office, the scheme to have the military seize voting machines, the pardon requests by members of Congress who were in on the schemes, and the utter chaos that reigned in the White House leading up to January 6th, and, soon we'll hear of Trump's utter failure to act to call off his rioters and assault teams at the Capitol.

The image of the security officers with guns drawn at the barricaded door as the insurrectionists tried to break into the chamber is graphic testimony of the seriousness of the events of that day and the mob's intent. Had they succeeded in breaking through there would be many dead Trumpers. That, too, would be on Trump's head.

Trumpers can howl and pull their hair if they want but this testimony has been supplied, under oath, by folks who were "only the best" and were supporters and enablers during Trump's administration. They were true believers.

The fact that they are contemplating an indictment at the DOJ as being likely is interesting. There are other possible indictments beyond the 1/6 events.

That's fine. The implicit message there is that they do expect a federal indictment after the election.

Its actually truly misleading. This letter or a version of it is released EVERY year at this time, and it just says you need to get Garland to sign off on anything. People are trying to blow it up into something it isnt.

Trump is not running in November, so why would this even be an issue? At this point in time he is a private citizen. The presidential election is still 2 years away.

LMAO!!!! I didn't know the legislative branch investigates crimes of private citizens. What's this Pelosi's CSI? What's next, send them cases so they can decide on judicial merits? Send them Roe so they can decide the constitutionality of the law? Thanks for the laugh.

By the way, what is Donald J. Trump, a mirage? he is a private citizen. They are investigating him and going after him. He is the main target of their criminal investigation, err , hearing.

What a surprise. That was never the goal of the Kangaroo court. This was political for the mid-terms and once the GOP wins Congress this year the last place Garland wants to be is in front of a congressional hearing under oath answering questions why he indicted to the majority of Republicans and Congress can impeach Garland and have a trial and put him on the hot seat. Garland doesn't want that hot potato.

You Democrats with TDS wanted to get Trump for 6 years that you are offered a mirage (again) by Pelosi and the Democrat party and you believe the hype again. You are all being played.
