Any word on what went wrong with security that day? Would think that would’ve have been a focus of any investigation well over a year ago. Ditto the more damaging BLM riots.
This question is part of the reason why I will continue watching.
Wasn't Nancy advised that there were reports of a large crowd gathering and protesting?
Isn't/wasn't SHE in charge of requesting reinforcements?

I’ve got a crazy hunch Nancy’s ‘investigation’ won’t reveal anything negative about Nancy. Most Americans share that hunch.
Which accounts for the general snickering one hears relative to this ‘Orange Man Bad’ theatrical performance.
You also had the Capitol being burned by the British in 1814, and four Puerto Rican nationalists who fired on Congress with pistols from the balcony in 1954.
There were a half dozen people involved in 1983, and the bomb was detonated under the Senate hours after everyone had gone home.
So what you're saying is, it was the republican's turn to try to stage a coup d'etat. Do the Dems get the next chance, or does it go to the independents?
No, I was simply answering the question asked: When was the last time they physically attacked it?
I answered that question.
And you answered one for me. You apparently think it's OK to plant a bomb in the Senate, because of the hour it went off and number of people injured. At least you admit it was a coup. As opposed to the violent protest that got out of hand on January 6th, where the only one to be killed was an unarmed protester.
Both incidents were disgusting displays. As is the hypocrisy.

1/6 was an ‘attempted’ coup, aka an “insurrection.” Just so you have your terminology straight.
Seems like the Democrats are watching it wall to wall. The rest of the country? Not so much! This will be a nothingburger in November and the dummycrats are gonna get their asses kicked!
This exactly. The only people I know that are drooling front of their TV screens watching are hardcore leftists, who hate Trump with a passion, and would never dream of voting R in their lives. They also, interestingly, do not mention Biden anymore. I can only imagine in their heart of hearts that they realize he's a disaster of their making. But they would NEVER admit publicly that they were wrong, so they're stuck with attacking Trump.
The rest of us are struggling to put gas in our tanks, food on our tables, and pay for energy to our homes.
You want your daughter or wife to be in that crowd? You think they were passing out beads or little flowers like Krishna monks?
I considered attending a Trump rally when he was first running, just to see what the hype was all about. I decided not to after reading about the violent attacks against Trump supporters by protesters. You know, where the police ushered supporters down a path where they were met by protesters that beat them with chains, padlocks and fists.
He may have voted against it but he never incited a group of people to riot in order to overturn the election.
So what exactly were the protests? An attempt to stop the transfer of power? Or just a protest?
If it were an attempt to stop the transfer of power, then his actions most assuredly are the same.
