Imagine the upvotes he would gotten on Reddit.

He could have started by getting out of his mom's basement. Another overgrown "man" living at home

Don't think for one minute that these harassment tactics are accidental...this is orchestrated pressure along with the original release of the R vs W decision to flip one vote.
The Marshals have been sent to protect the justices by the DOJ, why do you think they were at his home at 1AM. He wasn’t a protestor he Just drove to the residence.

This isn’t the first time that crazy people were influenced by the level of anger in our country, Pizza Gate, temple shooting in PA, killing of workers at the abortion clinic in Colorado……

This really needs to stop, yet another crazy person with a gun on a mission.

I'm talking about the DOJ not following the law in regards to allowing protesters to demonstrate at SCOUTS' personal residences...which they are NOT doing. This is a clear dereliction of duty.

I know. They don't have enough adult responsibilities. Too much time on their hands spending it on social media, and money to blow on things like weapons. Gee, we used to save up for concerts, cars, apartments, spring break. Not so much for weapons to stalk and wipe out judges or school children. There have always been political and religious radicals prepared to die for a cause. They had the profile of radicals. But now there are what appear to be regular people thinking this way.

They seem to really focus on Kavanaugh as to the justices. There was a female teacher asking people on twitter to take one for the team and k!ll him. WTH. A teacher. Then they say they were just kidding, just venting. Social media really is poison.

And men should be men. A 26 year old with a good job can move out even with expensive rent, find roommates like we did, learn to budget, be a damn grown up. The parents need to step up and make it happen.

I find myself nervous around young men who live with their parents too long - after college, after they are established in full time work, and who don't have real responsibilities or anything to lose. They are prime to be angry and lacking in purpose, and susceptible to radicalism.

Parents, give them guidance, then a time limit to move out and start their independent lives as men.

I agree with your assessments regarding these "men". Many of these people live in bubbles with mom & dad catering to their every need.

They see Kavanaugh as the weak link on the court who could fold under pressure.

Talk about inciting. Senator Schumer personally threatened the Supreme Court for overturning Roe.

Now his followers are heeding the call.

Where's the investigation? Where is Pelosi crying about the threat to American government? Ans: trying to reduce protection for the justices.

President Trump didn't call for violence against Biden or Congress. He asked for lawfulness. Schumer call for violence. Guess who gets criticized.

It is also worrisome that if these men do get kicked out of their parents homes they are angry about that and take up a Fight Club mentality. It's this bitterness and festering anger. But life isn't that bad, certainly not in the western world, even with the challenges we have now.

Nothing. Nothing would have happened.

Legally, how is his case different from that?

And a follow up question. When you charge someone as if they had gone ahead and attempted the crime, rather than decided at the last moment to abort the plan, what does that do to others considering a crime? What the hell, they may as well do it since at this point they're going to be charged anyway?
That's only because no one would have been any the wiser. Simply put, the authorities can't charge people with committing crimes that the authorities don't know about themselves. But that's why nothing would have happened to him under your scenario; not because a crime was not committed.

The authorities only know about this crime as the guy told on himself. Because he told on himself (and established intent)--and considering everything else (which established taking a step to implement his actions)--the elements of attempt are clearly met and easily proven.

To close, some people may have a problem with the crime of attempt; it's long been controversial to some as applied in certain instances. But that doesn't change the point that this seems like a pretty open and shut case, easy to prove and sustain in court.

Nothing from Biden or Kamala condemning this attempts on a Justice's life. Nothing from Pelosi or other democrats. Nothing from the mainstream media. Now imagine if it were a right winger showing up outside Brandon's newly appointed SCOTUS? Imagine a mob or angry protestors outside of a black, female, liberal SCOTUS home? Imagine if this had been the almighty sacred one Ruth Ginsberg, who is being harassed day and night outside of her home?
