As true as much that you have stated is factual, there are many other option options to boost US oil production with the goal of making us less dependent on other countries so I don’t agree with the current energy policies that are currently in effect.

New products always cost more than the older versions. Sales start with the people who can afford the high prices. As production increases, economy of scale kicks in and prices come down. That is when the not-so-rich start buying. It is a process. Meanwhile, more and more infrastructure is built over time. When cars first came out, you did not have a gas station on every other corner. Didn't have interstate highways either.
I don't know why you expect charging stations to appear before the e-cars. Early buyers of e-cars will charge at home. Some workplaces and shopping areas already have some charging stations. Apartment complexes will start installing them as potential tenants start asking about charging stations.
ICE cars will not disappear overnight. I would expect 20 or 30 years for a full transition to e-cars. I don't know why you think anyone is being forced to buy a $70,000 car now. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy a new car.

so, how are you going to afford to buy 2 e-cars for $60K each with a household income of 67K?
and let's say for some magical reason you are able to afford to buy 2 e-cars, where are you going to charge 2 cars at night in your apartment complex?
I think you know the answer. Repubs have always fought for the status quo, no changes for anything ever. Not even for things that could improve their lives. Nope. "Keep everything the same as the day I was born." That should be their motto.

Do you buy food, clothing and consumable items, do you use electricity❓If so, you do use more gas than you are aware of.
I make lot of foods from scratch, I buy meats from local farms, and grow lot of my own foods. Electric power is cheap here 5 cents a KW hour. Price increases have to be approved by a corporate commission who can deny the increase. The cost savings of working from home offsets the increase what we buy.
