Assume that a new nation has to be built, we need a declaration of Independence, a Constitution, a Bill of Rights, and no models exist that would apply to these troubled times?. Who do you trust to write and ratify it? Mitch McConnell ad Nancy Pelosi? Who are the "statesmen" of the modern era? Is it realistic to assume Jefferson and Hamilton were any better?

(I have no opening position, just the question. It doesn't seem to qualify for History or Great Debates.)

it would be the loudest not necessarily the brightest. they certainly would have no idea who Jean Jacques Rousseau Thomas Paine and John Locke were, and would be instead influenced by people like Chuck Schumer, Gretchen Whitmer, Pete Buttgieg, and Justin Trudeau

Actually, Justin's father, Pierre Trudeau wouldn't have been bad to have, and maybe a few other Canadians like Tommy Douglas.

Well; since the first set of "forefathers" were for the most part British ex-pats or descendants thereof and heavily plagiarized a document written 500 years earlier by an English King, you could always send emissaries over to the old sod to get some fresh pointers and perspectives.

it does qualify for Great Debates, they just require some thought be given and a position stated. Not a kernel of an idea and slap it on the forum.

As to your ?:
