Have any of those failed attempts involved amending the Constitution? Because I don’t recall a push for a new Amendment in my lifetime. As long as the Democrats keep trying to do an end run around our nation’s law, it is right and proper to oppose them. What they are attempting to do with bans and restrictions is a violation of the 2nd Amendment by definition, as bans and restrictions are an infringement of a right that cannot legally be infringed.
Biden stated that the 2nd amendment was never supposed to be permanent. He is a liar. If one was to feel that more restrictions should be applied to the 2nd amendment, it should never come from this awful, Orwellian administration.
It's really interesting to see it all laid out like this. It's one of the curious examples where there is clear, strong public support, but elected officials do nothing.

The Narrative is lying about pretty much everything related to guns, including support for gun control, second of all.
Take some time to read some critiques of opinion polls suggesting support for gun control. Most can be pretty easily picked apart to identify how they were designed to elicit specific responses.
The polling industry is almost as dirty as the media industry. That should've been made exceptionally clear to anyone paying attention during/after the 2016 election cycle.

Actually, it's progressives that are the main problem. If it weren't for progressives that want to ban semi-automatic weapons and so called high capacity magazines there were would be no need for the NRA to exist as a political lobby group and they could focus on firearms safety and training. Last year the NRA contributed a total of $149,225 to 108 members of the House and Senate. Per Open Secrets they rank 1,183 of 25,950 groups that donate to politicians. The NRA is vilified because every extremist movement needs a boogeyman.

You know what will work? Enforcing existing gun laws. Perhaps we should try that before created more laws. Of course, the leftist idiot brigade thinks that enforcement of any law is racist, so they're a big part of the problem.
Why should we change anything? Well over 60% of all gun deaths in the United States are gun owners shooting and killing themselves, their friends and family members. And the best news is that about 85% of these victims are rural white males.
