The good people of LA got exactly what they voted for, just another leftist that loves criminals and puts them above law abiding citizens. The downward spiral of large urban democrat ran strongholds is self inflicted. Add all the leftist judges into the mix and it makes for a very dangerous place to live and raise a family. But hey, liberals believe in walls for their OWN protection, so it's all good.

Do you think judges should be held accountable for these low bails when things like this happen?
One of the stranger characteristics of people who urge such lenient "sentences" is their belief that someone who just committed murder, will turn around and keep a promise not to do a second murder while you're still investigating the first.

This is the main problem with violence in the US of A.

We vote to retain many of these judges and do not have enough info usually to make a good decision on whether to obtain or not.

It's our fault.

We have a lousy prosecutor, but no one else ran.

That does become a problem. Power attracts less than desirable individuals often times. When nobody else runs, what choice do you have? In this case, Milwaukee residents chose to elect their leftist mayor over a much more qualified tough on crime conservative mayor, so they get what they voted for... this despite a wave of conservatism that did spread around the Milwaukee metro area and state this spring... getting those blue cities though is a hard sell.. it doesn't happen often.

All blue cities are going to head down this route if they insist on only ever voting for the democrat. It is what it is. It doesn't help the republican legislature in the state is rather complacent and inept, like engineman pointed out below me. I'd describe them as RINOs.. as long as they get their corporate donor pork they tend to not want to rock the status quo.

This problem should be addressed by the state legislatures by putting minimums on bail.
