Avoid the demographic of thug and your chances of not being shot rise exponentially.

California ranks #44 in gun violence deaths.

The state has the highest population of all states, so if you look at the total number, of course it will seem high.

Guns aren't the problem; the culture of rap and gangsta life are the problem.

Rappers/ rapper events seem to attract violence.

In this case, media reporting an exchange of gunfire between multiple people. Challenging to distinguish between good and bad guys with guns in the midst of chaos.

https://www.latimes.com/california/s...arehouse-party

This does not appear similar to the 2016 Pulse Night Club mass shooting where a lone gunman killed 49 and wounded 53 more people, all of whom were unknown to the shooter.

Seems people use raw numbers and rates interchangeably to suit their purpose.

^ does not distinguish between suicide vs murder.

Mass shootings of random people vs mass shootings of targeted people to settle some sort of dispute. The latter may include unintended victims.

Who one associates with, including relatives, increases or decreases the likelihood of being shot.

A 'rap party'? LOL

Maybe someone should tell these people that rap music was popular over 20+ yrs ago?! LOL

Music popularity changes with every generation, its easy to see this looking back at the recent past decades.

Its funny to see so many younger people into this kind of music, If they are wearing their pants low (with underwear hanging out), sometimes I will tell them, that kids were wearing that same style when I was in high school in the late 90s/early 2000s! They usually get this confused look on their faces! I dont think they understand.
